The #TractionLaw needs to be changed so it can be put into effect prior to a storm coming in. It’s a holiday weekend, the canyons are full, and now a bunch of non-compliant 2WD vehicles with “all season” tires are up at the resorts and will make the commute home slow and dangerous.
🚨 #RoadWeatherAlert 🚨
The #TractionLaw is in effect for both Big & Little Cottonwood Canyons. #SR190 #SR210
‼️Please travel with caution and make sure your vehicles are properly equipped.

When we moved to Utah five years ago, we went as a family to general conference and there was a trans woman outside with a sign saying “Hug a trans Mormon.” I gave her a hug and that’s when the ice began to crack and my fear and prejudice began to slowly melt away. It changed me.

Our friends at UDOT are not fuckin’ around. 2 cats parked along roadway at B Gate and 7 Sisters. This storm means business.
If you’ve got a crappy car, please leave #SR210 NOW for the sake of the rest of us.
