Most of you won’t know this about me but 23 years ago, as a newly qualified GP, I worked in Styal prison for women as their doctor. I heard so many stories from the women there that have and will stay with me forever.
It’s not uncommon for women in prisons to have no access to information about their health (especially their hormones!) which just doesn’t sit right with me.
That’s why we’ve been speaking to HM Prison Services to get complimentary copies of my book approved for women’s prisons across the country. I’ve had confirmation now that this has now been approved so hopefully it will help towards changing that lack of information🤞
