The potential answers are:
a) she doesn't understand it, despite having it explained to her properly;
b) she doesn't understand it, because it hasn't been explained to her properly;
c) she does understand it (the least likely).

The 19-year-old white supremacist planning a mass murder at a Hindu temple in Illinois was transgender.
NBC News Chicago refers to him throughout the story as a male and by he/him pronouns while noting that he "receives hormone injections for gender transition."
Meanwhile, Canadian newspapers continue to refer to both the 18-year old man who murdered eight people in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia and the US-based male charged as his co-conspirator solely as women, honoring the preferred pronouns of both murderer and co-conspirator, with no reference to their sex or their trans identification.
All of these people are men.
BREAKING: Mass Shooting Plot Targeting Sri Venkateswara Temple in Aurora, Illinois, Foiled
A 19-year-old suspected white supremacist, Alexandros Paporakis, has been arrested for allegedly plotting a mass shooting at a Hindu place of worship in Aurora, Illinois.
Investigators say the suspect had been planning the attack for two years and allegedly targeted Indians and South Asians.
Police recovered an AR-style rifle, ammunition and tactical gear.
A potentially devastating hate-driven attack may have been prevented.
Paporakis worked as a cashier at a Taco Bell in Arlington Heights for nearly seven months.
According to a co-worker who spoke to investigators, Paporakis regularly made racist remarks, particularly targeting Indians. He openly identified himself as a white supremacist and frequently spoke about Nazis and armed struggle.

We are heartbroken in WRN Wales at the death of Claire. We send our sympathies to her family and her many friends.
Claire is irreplaceable. Her contribution has been immense. A brilliant mind, a superb campaigner, sharp and analytical, but above all, a wonderful friend.
She is pictured here outside the Senedd, after giving evidence at the Stage 1 Reform Committee on the Electoral Candidates Lists Bill. She said Welsh Government had no legislative competence to do this and that the Bill was discriminatory. She was right. (She always was though).
Her brilliant blog is here: womensrights.network/post/se…
RIP Claire. 💔
ANNOUNCEMENT
It’s with heavy hearts that WRN announce the death of one of our own, the truly fabulous Claire Loneragan.
Claire was a fundamental part of WRN since its inception and had been key to the growth and the success of our organisation. She is irreplaceable as a WRNer and as a Director. Most importantly though, as a dear friend. We will miss her immensely.
We know that all our WRN members will feel her loss deeply, not least her ‘home’ group of Somerset and Dorset.
We send our sincere heartfelt sympathies to her husband Dave, her children, her wider family, and her many friends.
Claire had been ill for some time but maintained her typical good humour, courage (and not a small amount of ice cream) throughout.
When we have needed wisdom, hard work and application, Claire had provided these in abundance. Her hand was in everything that we did. And we all endeavoured to ‘Be More Claire’ as a result.
But more importantly than that, she was always our dear friend.
Goodbye Claire.
We love you so much xx

My latest essay about how therapists can hide behind the neutral position as a way to avoid dealing with conflict within the therapeutic process. However this approach doesn’t help our patients.

The Conversion Practices bill could criminalise the parent who tries to convince their teenage daughter that it's okay to be a lesbian.
If so many teens are moving from gay to trans we have to ask why. This bill prevents that discussion.
Sign the @AllianceLGB letter here 👇
LGB people are not a prop for this Bill.
Lesbians, gay men and bisexual people have signed our open letter because we believe it could harm children who may grow up LGB — and punish honest discussion rather than protect them.
This Bill does not speak for us. Add your name: lgballiance.org.uk/conversio…

Just once, I’d love to see trans activists and their supporters answer @jk_rowling’s measured and cogent arguments without misrepresenting them or screaming insults.
They could start by reading her latest piece and addressing what she actually says, rather than what they imagine she is secretly thinking.
Too much to ask?

If you don't know what the Conversion Practices bill is about, please please watch this. It purports to ban "abuse" but in fact it will criminalise loving parents seeking to protect unhappy children from lifelong harm. It's extraordinarily serious.

❤️ @jk_rowling once again saying what needs to be said:
"There is zero evidence that trans-identified men don’t share the same pattern of criminality as all other men. On the contrary, all the evidence points the other way."
And it is publicly funded organisations, wasting our money, holding out against women's rights.

Ireland: the bill to recognise as real non-binary and intersex (some kind of hallowe'en costume, not quite sure) in law has been defeated 87 to 63.
How are we supposed to support these extreeeemely invisible types of human beings? They are so invisible, one has never been identified.
A missed opportunity. Hopefully another chance to do something retarded about this will come along soon.
Perhaps in the meantime we could construct a kind of wishing well/hole in the ground, where people who think they are non-binary or "intersex" can throw a penny in and declare their non-binariness.

Disappointing to hear that no @LibDems contacted by the @DarlingtonUnion have been willing to even respond to them. Given the LD Party just passed a motion to diminish women's rights, politicians should at least look women who have been affected in the eye and tell them why.
LIB DEM SILENCE: We have made every effort to engage all political parties on the issue of single-sex spaces in the NHS and to ensure they hear directly from female staff affected by the impact of gender identity policies in the workplace.
We have met with representatives from the Labour Government, the Conservatives, and Reform.
We have also repeatedly reached out to the @LibDems, particularly following their troubling treatment of gender-critical women at their recent conference.
From @EdwardJDavey, @timfarron, and @HelenMorganMP, we have received only silence.
Given that silence, we hoped the party's spokesperson for women and equalities, Marie Goldman MP, would want to hear the experiences of frontline NHS nurses involved in a landmark legal case.
Again, silence.
Women who believe that biological sex matters, that truth matters, and that every person deserves dignity and respect are hearing that message loud and clear

This ministerial letter fails to engage with any of the substantial criticisms of the draft Conversion Practices Bill. The bill isn’t compatible with rights to family life, to free expression and to live in a society governed by a predictable, comprehensible criminal code.

Deeply troubling to see Plaid Cymru openly admit protecting the rights of women and girls "did not align" with the party's values!
Perhaps more worrying is the accusation that the Plaid MS was bullied into leaving the group by male staff members...

Minister's letter to the pre-legislative scrutiny committee published.
How? 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
How do they think it protects parental rights or freedom of religion and belief?
There is nothing on the face of the bill that does any such thing.

6 years on from her 1st essay, JK Rowling has gifted us an update:
"Twenty-first century trans activism...is elitist to its core.
Spawned in philosophy and gender studies departments, it has taken over cultural, political and state-run institutions, which have then attempted to impose it, top down, on regular people who never voted for it and, as all available polls show, do not believe in it"

Bridget Phillipson says that the Conversion Practices Bill won't criminalise parents who disagree with their child's transgender identification .... but there is nothing on the face of the bill that protects parents.
We agree with @bphillipsonMP, minister for women and equalities, that parents shouldn’t be prosecuted for having difficult conversations with their children.
But there is nothing on the face of the Conversion Practices Bill that protects them. We wrote to ask her to put that right.
