when I was raped in college, I pressed charges and filed a restraining order. he got to keep his position as a TA and I had to change my major. that was over twenty years ago and the only thing that’s changed is we have a rapist for president and rape culture is even worse now.

If you can't accept that, then you're not looking for forgiveness, you're looking for to be absolved from responsibility and from consequences.
Forgiving someone that hurt you can be the hardest thing. No one is entitled to forgiveness either. Forgiveness also doesn't mean things go back.
You form these parasocial relationships with people you admire and that create things you love. You forget that they are actually people, you forget you don't actually know them.
Grieving, forgiveness, and healing are not linear. Everyone's journey is different, there's no one way. Especially when you don't know the people, you don't know what happened, and you don't currently know what's going on.
Also I'm not giving that fucking pos any more attention. Stop responding to him and stop reposting him. Using someone's death for clout and to try and gain moral superiority is disgusting. If there is a heaven he will only see it on his way down to hell.

We should all strive to live like him. Just look at all the stories and the outpouring of love. It makes me happy that I can at least know he knew how much he was loved. Every story makes him sound larger than life because he was. He still is.
Lastly I want to say, hug your friends, talk to them, let them know how loved they are. Life is short and death comes for us all. We had no idea what's on the other side but what we do know is that right here, right now, this is what matters.
