TV One news last night and today soaked in faux outrage over a harmless comment by a radio host made a week ago.
Every election, a few days before voting closes, this insipid and politically corrupt so called "news" institution pulls the same old stunt.
They highlight an emotionally driven issue to attack the moral standing of the party or candidates they don't like and boost the chances of the party or parties they do like.
Forget the policies. They don't count one jot compared to Michael Law's earth shattering civilisation ending criticism of the school teacher type Marxist feminists who typify the TOP party.
These offhand comedic comments were made more than a week ago. Why have they been suddenly highlighted and reported on this close to the election?
Simply because TV One wants to manipulate voters.
If there was any real care for election interference in NZ, the Electoral Commission would be looking into TV One's manipulation of the news cycle.
If National by some chance win the election, they should begin a high level inquiry into TV One's reporting and pinpoint those managers responsible for the outrageous bias of this state owned entity.
These people need to be held to account for such blatant attempts to manipulate NZ's general election.
