BREAKING: The Supreme Court horrifies the legal community by ruling that Donald Trump has some level of immunity from prosecution as a former president — all but guaranteeing his trial will be delayed until after the election. But it gets worse... The court voted 6-3, along partisan lines, and declared that Trump is immune for official acts taken as president, but said that there is a distinction between official and private actions. The case involving Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election will now return to the lower court, which will be tasked with deciding whether Trump's actions were official or private. By employing this convoluted plot, taking up the case only to send it back down, the court has done Trump a massive favor by helping delay his trial. The MAGA judges are clearly hoping that he wins in November and then pardons himself. Once again we see the consequences of having a Republican majority in control.
