Great news! Middle East oil exports are back to prewar levels.
But the Treasury's chart doesn't show the soaring freight rates, energy inflation, U.S. taxpayer dollars, strained alliances, damaged credibility, damaged infrastructure, depleted weapons stockpiles, threats to freedom of navigation, rewired trade routes, contested control of Hormuz, and lives lost—including U.S. servicemembers, seafarers, and civilians.

Greek-owned tanker departs Russia in reported first US-bound diesel shipment
The Malta-flagged tanker Agioi Fanendes, owned by Greek shipping company Eastern Mediterranean Maritime, has departed Russia’s Baltic port of Primorsk carrying a reported 40,000 tonnes of ultra-low-sulphur diesel, in what could be the first shipment to the US under the recent export agreement between Washington and Moscow.
According to #MarineTraffic data, the 183-metre tanker updated her AIS destination from “PRIMORSK” to “USNY” on 22 October at 22:50 UTC, while her reported draught increased from 7.8 to 11 metres, consistent with loading.
However, at 08:42 UTC on 23 October, the vessel changed her AIS destination again to “FOR ORDERS”, leaving her final destination unconfirmed. She was last recorded sailing west through the Gulf of Finland at around 12.8 knots.

🌅🚢Golden hour view of the deepest draft vessel to call the Port of Charleston.🚢🌅
SC Ports welcomed the deepest draft vessel to ever call the Port of Charleston on Wednesday with arrival of the @MSCCargo Namibia.
The Namibia arrived as a specific draft first-in from Rotterdam and boasts a 50 foot/15.25 meter deep draft. Charleston’s 52-foot harbor makes it an ideal stop for the largest vessels calling the East Coast, seamlessly handling heavy exports.
Special shout out and thank you to Ian Kilpatrick with @MoranTug for the harbor shot!
"Fake hits". Like on ships? Because UKMTO says it's likely the MAJORITY of attacks are going unreported.
How are Middle East oil flows returning to prewar levels despite continuous attacks in the Strait of Hormuz?
Well, sending a fully-loaded 2-million-barrel VLCC from the Gulf to Asia now costs more than $74 million in freight alone, which is over five times prewar levels. That's how. gcaptain.com/middle-east-oil…

Persian Gulf oil exports have surpassed prewar levels, as an improvised shipping system under U.S. protection is helping tankers move oil through one of Iran’s fiercest waves of attacks in the Strait of Hormuz. on.wsj.com/4dKoAkk

The containership GFS Pride sank while being towed after it struck by a Iranian projectile, not a naval mine, CENTCOM says.
Three FALSE Iranian claims in the past 24 hours:
🚫 CLAIM: The IRGC has continued to falsely claim control of the Strait of Hormuz.
✅ FACT: The United States and regional partners control the strait as commercial vessels continue to transit despite unwarranted IRGC aggression.
🚫 CLAIM: Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed a Singapore-flagged container ship struck a naval mine in the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday. This is FALSE.
✅ FACT: The civilian container ship M/V GFS Pride was hit by an IRGC projectile. The vessel sank while being towed to shore. Despite the attack, commercial ships continue to flow through the Strait of Hormuz (whose primary routes remain clear of mines), with more than 40 ships moving in the last 24 hours.
🚫 CLAIM: The IRGC claims they killed hundreds of U.S. service members in Jordan. This is FALSE.
✅ FACT: Three American service members were killed in action in July as partner forces defended against Iranian attacks. We honor the memories of all U.S. service members who paid the ultimate sacrifice and represent America's best.

Forget about oil. There are only a small handful of tankers in the world that transport wine, and WINE TRADER (8808707) can carry 6.32 million liters, which is 8.4 million bottles.
WATCH: The first images of the vessel Wine Trader, reportedly struck by two drones in Romanian territorial waters, have emerged. The footage shows damage to the ship’s upper structure.
Romanian authorities are conducting a rescue operation, but extremely rough seas are preventing rescuers from safely reaching the four crew members still aboard.
