Peak German passive-aggressiveness: "Quite nice, but a few small mistakes in it." From experience, people that mention errors and don't elaborate, if you ask them they usually don't respond anymore. The vagueness of "small mistakes" could be literally anything.

Andor (@DisneyPlus) gives us a shared case study for walking through how an #insurgency actually develops. 🧵Over two seasons, the Rebellion moves from latent activity and early organization into guerrilla actions and then toward open war of movement. Students can track the same decisions and consequences while considering doctrine alongside it. smallwarsjournal.com/2026/10…

The U.S. Naval Institute mourns the passing of Dr. Craig L. Symonds, distinguished naval historian, award-winning author, and professor emeritus of history at the U.S. Naval Academy. Through three decades of teaching and a lifetime of scholarship, he helped generations of naval officers and readers understand the people, decisions, and sacrifices that shaped our naval history. In May 2023, Dr. Symonds addressed the Naval Institute’s 150th Annual Meeting, reflecting on the enduring relationship between the Navy and its independent forum. His remarks became his most recent Proceedings article, “A Two-Way Street: The Navy–Naval Institute’s 150-Year Relationship.” In it, he described the Institute as “a sounding board and not an echo chamber”—a reminder of the value of thoughtful debate in advancing the naval profession. We honor his lasting contributions to naval history and extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and former students. His legacy lives on in the people he taught and the history he brought to life. Read his article and revisit his 2023 remarks. usni.org/magazines/proceedin…

Congratulations @TeamYouTube the link you sent me does not work, because I have a "brand account". Of course, your system does NOT tell me that, it tells me: Either I don't own the video OR it has the wrong privacy settings. Are you a burger stand or billion dollar company?

Years ago, I did a flame halftrack tactics video, it was approved for all advertisers, which makes sense because it is a sober technical tactical video, no gore, no images, not brutality etc. Well, now the nearly exact same version was denied in German. @TeamYouTube

Is drunk "like a Messerschmitt" a common Polish phrase or was this an exception / new creation?
Replying to @Justyna86_
Szok. Najprawdopodobniej kierowca był najebany jak meserszmit i w czasie ucieczki doszło do podmianki na trzeźwego. Inaczej po co by uciekał a następnie wracał? Ciekawe ile dostanie - pewnie 100pln i pouczenie. Patologia!

Good day. This is a great day to picking edible mushrooms in Poland ^^. However, yesterday in the Podkarpacie region, at the former Nazi German missile site in Blizna, a V-2 test missile warhead was found embedded 10 meters below the ground. 1/2 #WW2 #History
