Great call

Hudson Mayes is a human dynamite stick.

Lastly, this is something I knocked a lot of teams for, this is a team with a lot of new faces… That fact alone always makes things questionable, so for the purposes of preseason rankings I pull back a little

5. I like Tylik Weeks game, but he’s taking a step up in class. Will he be able to draw fouls and score inside the way he did at Southern Miss? I believe Memphis will need Weeks as a scorer to reach their ceiling, can he handle it? I think so, yet to be seen

They’re all on the smaller side so I believe Penny needs to find ways to protect them defensively. Will Memphis be able to do that? 4. Can Memphis fix the turnover problem? The guards Penny brought in should fix that, but a good chunk of teams under Penny have struggled with it

will he*

Will Nemanja Popovic be eligible? He certainly helps the frontcourt scoring problem, but I haven’t seen anything confirming he’s eligible? 3. Can the smaller guards play together? Love Jayden Reid, Josh Holloway, & Brandon Cummings as primary ball handlers, but…

It’s Twitter, you don’t get to be as specific as you’d like. 1. Would the frontcourt be able to provide scoring and interior defense? I liked C. Williams to provide the defense/redounding, but he will be a contributor? (3min last game) 2. (Add on from 1)…

Unfortunately no, JMU was considered though

I want to rank them higher, but I have slight PTSD from last year Still my favorite post hype sleeper team

The difference between NBA & CBB fans will always be so funny to me NBA fans acting like Graham Ike is a complete nobody, while a decent chunk of CBB fans have PTSD from Ike LOL

In an exhibition game without multiple players on each side…

Very much so, check out my Top 25 video where I talk about them for a few minutes! Elite center in Wessler with knockout shooters everywhere else on the roster, it’s going to be hard for other mid-majors to defend them

Talent is never the question in Memphis, if I went purely off the Memphis roster on paper they’d be top 6-8 However, I have a few questions on how the pieces will fit together. I think it’ll be fine by mid-season, but still need to bake the concern in my rankings

Harvard definitely considered Agree on Murray State & UCSB, I think I mentioned in my breakdown video I had to hold back my excitement on both

It’s official if you believe it in your heart lol, but yes McNeese deserves respect not only as a program but for this season’s team as well
