Well, Lt Gov Peggy "Margaret" Fraud-Again did lie
She lied about fraud, she lied when misusing a state credit card billing TENS OF THOUSANDS of our taxpayer funds, & she lied about where funding for children's committees and Tribal Nation overpayments went

Whistleblowers must be protected, retaliation must stop
This morning I unveiled my Whistleblower Protection Plan that I will sign as an executive order on my first day in office.
I was joined by members of the House Fraud Prevention Committee as we articulated the need for a real change from the top down in order to end fraud and empower state agency employees to say something if they see something.
We know the Walz status quo has failed, and that Amy Klobuchar’s well-documented toxic leadership style will not bring the change Minnesotans want to see. It’s time for a fresh start.
Whistleblowers protections are much needed - MN state fraud could have been stopped much sooner if staff weren’t retaliated against when we saw wrongdoing.

Yes. The 2019 OLA special review confirms nearly $29M in DHS overpayments to White Earth Nation (Flanagan’s tribe) and Leech Lake for unauthorized high-rate billing of take-home opioid meds. An extra $2.4M went to White Earth in 2019 after DHS already knew it violated rules. State error; tribes followed DHS guidance; Walz budget had the state cover repayment so tribes did not.
A 2025 OLA audit of the shared Governor/Lt. Governor office found ~$355K in purchasing-card spending plus some split transactions to dodge the $5K limit. Auditor clarified Flanagan herself was not issued a card.

Minnesota DHS wants at least $91.60 to respond to a very basic data request.
And what is the data request?
We want to know how a fool like Teresa Steinmetz was hired into MN DHS when she is clueless in every single meeting.
Just another failed leader.
As you may know, we detest Peggy "Margaret" Flanagan. Aside from her stunning incompetence, she went out of her way to DESTROY whistleblowers. We BARELY survived her attacks.

Peggy is fraudster herself who let other fraudsters loot Minnesota, removed guardrails that protected our public services, and RETALIATED against whistleblowers like a hitman.

This is very typical of Minnesota government - even us as state employees can't get responses to our data requests because information is subjectively classified as "private/non-public" without clear basis.
Tim Walz's government has always operated outside of law.
