Moledao, HR Collective Recap:
Great HR isn't about filling positions. It's about understanding the people and business behind them.
Too often, recruitment conversations start with a job description and end with a hire. But the real work begins much earlier: understanding what the business needs, identifying the right talent, and building relationships that last beyond a single placement.
That was one of the bigger themes behind our recent Human Resources Collective gathering in Chengdu, co-organized by Moledao, @DeFiHR Connect, and Great Check.
With insights from @helen_moledao, Yun Tao, Tina, and Zephyr He, the conversations explored HR leadership, talent strategy, recruitment, and the changing demands of today's workforce.
A few ideas worth thinking about:
→ Hiring is a business decision, not just an HR task. The better we understand the problem, the better we can identify the right person.
→ HR needs a seat at the strategy table. Talent decisions shape business performance, organizational culture, and long-term growth.
→ Strong communities create stronger industries. Some of the most useful insights come from sharing real experiences with people facing similar challenges.
And sometimes, the most valuable outcome of an event isn't a presentation or a framework. It's the conversation that continues after everyone leaves the room.
