Visited London for the first time in quite a while. Harrowing experience… 1. They’re lying about the numbers. The next census is going to be absolutely barbaric reading. 2. Things are far worse than most people outside of London could possibly imagine. The entire city has been turned into a middle Easter bazaar and a sub continental slop market.

If HMRC are allowed to take money from individuals’ bank accounts, as proposed in the budget today, then we are heading to a dark place. This tool could be used against anyone deemed to be a threat by the government of the day.
🚨 NEW: John Healey is set to announce the following in his Budget later - The gas standing charge will be scrapped to save £27 a year on a typical bill - Green levies on energy bills will be scraped "for good" - NHS prescription charges will be frozen at £9.90 for another year - Poorer households on benefits will receive extra help with energy bills before January's sharp rises - The VAT cut on electricity bills, which was due to expire in April, will be extended (though it's not clear if this will be announced in the Budget or separately) - The Government will remove the link between gas and electricity prices, which currently inflates household bills, "in the long term" - Banks will face higher taxes, with the surcharge on their profits potentially rising from 3% to 8%, making it the Budget’s biggest revenue raiser - HMRC will be given powers to seize money from the bank accounts of people who fail to pay their tax - The freeze on rail fares will reportedly not be extended beyond April - Online retailers like Amazon, eBay and Temu will be made responsible for collecting unpaid VAT from sellers to fund a cut in business rates for high street shops - The thresholds for income tax will be frozen again so another half a million people may be dragged into the higher rate - January's planned increase in fuel duty will be cancelled - Pensioners relying solely on the state pension will see their tax-free allowance rise to £13,036, in line with the pension increase, so they don't pay income tax - Billions in long-term borrowing to invest in defence firms and raise the share of GDP spent on defence (without breaking fiscal rules, as the investments are expected to generate returns) - The upcoming "Your First Home" scheme will be made more generous to provide greater support for middle-income earners - The Budget will also assume the Rosebank oil field is approved, which will generate "significant tax revenues"

Nightmare Record Net Zero cost Balancing Grid cost £52million yesterday, now running at £6billion pa, over £200 per household All due to wind & solar challenges Delusional NESO pretend all is fine
So there we have it. Probably the highest day ever in the BM at over £52 million The final number tends to be a bit higher than the trading figure reported by LCP This is what Connect & Manage has done... We spent £52 million because we had to throw away wind in Scotland that we built despite knowing we can't use it Plus NESO not curtailing it before the DA auction meaning instead of gas plant self dispatching it has to be bid on in the BM @Miatsf @mgshanks @AndrewBowie_MP @ClaireCoutinho @harrietc @ColinMoynihanUK @drlukeevans @ashley7fox @TiceRichard @cmackinlay @DavidGHFrost @mattwridley @Iromg @AllisonPearson @MerrynSW @EdConwaySky @afneil @mattotele @jonathan_leake @julietsamuel @energygovuk

Incredibly, a Sudanese woman has won the right to stay in Britain thanks to her marriage to her first cousin. It is almost beyond parody. She claimed her ECHR “right to a family life” would be breached if she was forced to leave. This despite the Home Office suspecting that her “marriage” was fake, as no record of it exists in Sudan. Her “husband” was an “asylum seeker” who travelled to Britain via Libya. Sham marriages are a tool of choice for fraudsters breaking into Britain to live here at your expense. In fact a Home Office whistleblower told the Telegraph 99% of asylum applications were fraudulent. The Tories and Labour have made our immigration system a laughing stock. A Reform government will end this madness. We will ban cousin marriage, end asylum in Britain and deport all illegal migrants. We will take our country back.

Er … now we find out that Sizewell C is a “terrible deal” and could cost taxpayers and bill payers as much as £62 BILLION!!! Here’s a bit of disinformation from Mad Ed.. Private investors will be happy though. For their investment of £4.7 BILLION in equity, they will own 55.1% of Sizewell, with expected annual returns of 10.8% -13%. Whilst get higher bills! Brilliant. So when Ed Miliband signed this deal in July 2025, promising to bring bills “down for good”. He didn’t really mean it.

The number of UK businesses facing financial distress has hit its highest level in more than 20 years. Insolvency specialists BTG's Red Flag Alert report revealed that 738,144 businesses were in significant financial distress in the third quarter of 2026, the highest number since its began in 2004. Separate research from Novuna Business Finance found that 86% of small businesses fear that Budget announcements will negatively affect their finances and growth prospects and only 26% expect their business to grow this year. Healey's budget should roll back the Starmer-Reeves tax attacks on business if it is to have any positive effect on economic growth.

🤔 The removal of standing charges on gas bills…sounds good doesn’t it? 💁‍♂️ On the face of it, yes, in general bills might be lower - but here’s the catch… 🤨 If you are a ‘higher consumer’ (meaning someone that uses gas for heating, cooking, hot water etc) then your energy bill is about to go UP. That’s cause they are putting the fixed daily cost on to the Unit Rate. 🥶Next week in large parts of the UK, the temperature is going to get close to freezing. Because of these changes, if you live there and heat your home with gas and want to turn on the central heating…Labour just made your life much more difficult and far more expensive.

THREE PAKISTANI TAXI DRIVERS IN ROCHDALE, MOHAMMED SHAHZAD, NAHEEM AKRAM AND NISAR HUSSAIN, RAPED A SCHOOLGIRL BETWEEN 2001 AND 2006. ONE OF THE ATTACKS WAS FILMED IN THE BACK OF HUSSAIN'S TAXI. For decades, social workers and police have known that Pakistani men were using the taxi trade to rape little White girls in towns and cities across the country. Instead of taking action, they protected these men. Successive governments have allowed it to continue. In June 2025 Baroness Casey's national audit into group-based child sexual exploitation found that the taxi licensing system had been exploited by the rape gangs and told the government it needed urgent reform. The government accepted it. Rochdale was one of the towns she was writing about. Rochdale Council had licensed three men who raped a child. The likelihood is that it knew of many more men just like these three. Its own social workers knew taxi drivers were having 'sex' with children. They called one of the girls a 'prostitute'. The child was just ten years old. Greater Manchester Police knew the same. Since 1976 a council has had the power to take a badge off any driver it is not satisfied is fit and proper. There was no need for either a conviction or even a charge. It would be a lie to say the police failed to act. They did act. They closed down investigations and protected the rape gangs. Hundreds of towns and cities like Rochdale had the power to intervene. They had the knowledge. They knew children were being gang raped and trafficked across the country through a network of Pakistani gangs. They all made a political decision to sacrifice little White girls at the altar of multiculturalism and trade them for bloc votes from the Pakistani Muslim communities. Shahzad, Akram and Hussain drove Rochdale’s children for years after the council and the police knew what was being done to her in the back of a taxi. Rochdale Council will not say if or when it ever took their badges off them. No one knows just how many taxi drivers are members of the rape gangs. My estimate is that it is over 10,000. Heidi Alexander has been Transport Secretary since November 2024. Casey warned her in June 2025. She told the Commons the government was “taking this very seriously”, was reviewing whether councils follow existing guidance, and would hold those that do not to account. The councils are the problem she is asking to mark their own homework. In January 2026 Alexander's department proposed moving the badge from district councils to transport authorities. That was their solution. In Greater Manchester that would move Oldham’s licensing from the council that covered it up to the office Andy Burnham held while it was being covered up. In October 2026 the government said it was still deciding which model to use. It has also promised national minimum standards and a power to suspend a driver on the spot. Councils have had the power to suspend a driver on the spot since 1976. Why does a politician get to decide who drives the children at all? Especially when that politician relies on the bloc vote these men control for them to stay in power? AND TODAY. 263 councils in England decide who drives their children. Every one of them has had the power since 1976 to take a badge off a man without a conviction. Rochdale did not use it. Rotherham did not use it. Oldham did not use it. No law makes a council use it. Nothing Heidi Alexander has proposed would make them. A man banned from working with children can be handed a badge this week in any town in England. The councils that licensed the rape gangs are licensing the next ones. Part 2 of my series on what would destroy the rape gangs will be published later today on Red Wall and the Rabble. 👉 redwallandtherabble.co.uk If you read part 1, you will see a pattern emerging. I really do not care which politician or political party I upset. I'm not here for any of them. I'm here to protect little girls from gang rape. Raja Miah MBE _________ People ask me one question more than any other. Are children still being groomed, gang raped and sold across the United Kingdom? I take no joy in sharing with you that they are. And there are more men involved than there were before. Little White girls are still being gang raped and sold in this country. The men doing it are not only Pakistani. Other ethnic gangs have moved into our towns and cities, watched how the Pakistani gangs got away with it, and started their own rape gangs. It can be stopped. And over the course of this week I will detail a number of policies that would destroy the child rape trade in the United Kingdom. Unfortunately, eight years has taught me that not one political party will do what's necessary unless we force them. Which is why it is up to us to force them. I don't care if you are Labour, Conservative, Reform or Restore. I care that you want the gang rape of children to stop. If you are with me, then you are with me for this reason more than any other. My name is Raja Miah. I led the campaign that forced the national inquiry. Now I will share with you the key policies that any political party could campaign for that will destroy the rape gangs for good. You can decide for yourself why politicians need dragging kicking and screaming to a place that protects little girls from gang rape. Sign up to my newsletter here. 👉 redwallandtherabble.co.uk There are no paywalls to access any of my work. I share all my content for free. In 1990, 1.7 million British people paid the 40% rate of income tax. By 2027, almost 9 million are projected to pay higher or additional rates. From roughly 1 in 15 income taxpayers to more than 1 in 5. On Budget Day, it’s worth remembering that higher-rate tax has become an increasingly ordinary tax on aspiration. Britain needs lower taxes & less government in our lives.

"Who is bankrolling Nigel Farage's party?" asks Bridget Phillipson. "Labour will protect our democracy from foreign influence." Right. Same question back. Who is bankrolling Labour, and the machine around it? Gary Lubner. South African. Former Autoglass chief. Millions. Lord Alli. Buys the clothes, lends the flat. George Soros. Money into Best for Britain and Fair Vote, routed through a London outpost, which is how a foreign fortune gets round a ban on foreign donations. Pierre Omidyar. French-Iranian, eBay founder, funding the campaign groups. Bill Gates. In for the photo call. Swedish philanthropists. Bloomberg. And Verbatim, which made the Channel 4 sting she is riding, is itself funded from abroad. So the watchdog on foreign money is on foreign money. And those are off the top of my head. No research. Give me an afternoon and the list fills a page. So the party promising to protect democracy from foreign influence is up to its neck in it, legally, through the same door, and has proposed no cap that would inconvenience a single person in the room. They held a drinks party for them in Downing Street. The question is not who is bankrolling Farage. It is why Labour thinks the answer changes depending on whose name is on the cheque. "Protect our democracy from foreign influence." They would not know where to start.
Who is bankrolling Nigel Farage's party? What interests are they seeking to advance? Are they acting in Britain's best interests? Reform UK are engulfed in sleaze and scandal. Labour will protect our democracy from foreign influence. independent.co.uk/news/uk/po…

CONFIRMED. Gas Standing Charges to be scrapped. I've just come out of a meeting with the Chancellor. The gas standing charge will be scrapped in 2027 (my guess, either for 1 Oct price cap or the 1 Jan 28 price cap). Having campaigned against the moral hazard of standing charges for years, I'm pleased. It's currently £108 a year. That cost will be shifted onto unit rates. We don't know how much yet, but I suspect just under 1p per kwH. The Chancellor also said he will be talking to Ofgem about how they get rid of the charge on electricity as well, but that is 'trickier' apparently and will take longer. This is primarily about the price cap standing charges. There will still be an open market, so other firms can offer other forms of prices with or without the standing charge. My suspicion is that once it goes on the price cap, it will tend to be reduced on other tariffs as well. As for those on fixes: if you get a fix now, the rate of your fix is fixed, so this should not affect it. You will pay what you pay and if it has standing charges they will continue (some asking if they should delay fixing because of this, no if a fix is right for you and will save you money, don't let this change that - this is about the structure of bills, as opposed to the actual costs on bills). About 60% of people will pay less due to this, 40% more. My guesstimate is the dividing line will be somewhere around 12,500 kilowatt hours of gas (can't know until there is actual pricing). According to a study by Nesta, this switch would leave the majority of people in all income groups under £100,000 better off. Of course, when this does come in, if we're still in the nightmare that we are right now, there will need to be support put in for vulnerable higher users, who will have to pay more. Though hopefully by then the mid-east will have calmed and energy prices lower. --------------- That's all long term. The biggest issue in energy right now is that we're expecting a 27% rise in the price cap in January. I asked the Chancellor whether he will be intervening on that. He told me I'd have to wait for the budget, but reading between the lines, yes, there will be an announcement today. Whether it's an increase in the Warm Home Discount, or whether it's council tax banned, or whether it's done via a payout for people in say council tax bands A-D as a proxy for household income as Rishi Sunak did who knows.

Adnan Hussain won Blackburn by 132 votes. That is the whole man. One hundred and thirty-two. He overturned an 18,000 Labour majority with it, and his first words were "this is for Gaza". Not for Blackburn. For Gaza. Now he is outraged that Israel held two British MPs at a border for eight hours and sent them home. He calls Israel a "rogue state". He wants the government to condemn it "in the strongest possible terms". Fine. Let us test him on Israel. In 2014 he stood at a rally and said "let's make Israel burn". In 2024 he said there is "no difference" between the Israeli government and ISIS. ISIS, who behead captives and throw men off rooftops, are, on his reading, the same as the country with a supreme court, an Arab party in its parliament and a free press. No difference. Not one. He calls it a genocide. Plenty do. But he says the word so often, and so loudly, that it has stopped describing anything and started meaning simply "Israel, bad". And rogue state. Israel. Rogue. Rogue like Iran, then. Iran, who runs terror plots on British soil, whose Revolutionary Guard owns the smuggling routes that land its operatives on our beaches, and who has spent forty years killing people through proxies in other people's capitals. That rogue state. Adnan mentions it about as often as he mentions the weather. Here is the actual problem with Adnan Hussain. He is not an MP with a constituency. He is a mood. A feeling that swept Blackburn for one summer, when Gaza was on every screen and Labour was on the wrong side of it. He caught the wave. 132 votes, and off he went. And a wave is not a base. There is no machine, no record, no Blackburn in his politics. Just Gaza. Blackburn is one of the most deprived boroughs in the country. It needs houses, skills, a town centre worth walking into. It got a Palestine plan. So when Gaza slides off the screens, and when this government finally falls, Adnan goes with it. He has nothing to be once the thing he is against is gone. He is a cheerleader for a team that is not his. He is not the future of Blackburn. He is the tide mark. A line on the wall showing how high the water reached in July 2024. And the water is going out.
The mockery of British elected representatives being detained by a rogue state is disgraceful. Whatever your politics, this should be a matter of principle. Israel must not be allowed to act with impunity. I hope our government condemns this in the strongest possible terms.
