Dear Z-Librarians, As is our tradition, we’re holding our Fall Fundraising Campaign over the next two weeks. Before we get to the main part, we’d like to express our vast gratitude to all of you—our users and readers—who support the project and make valuable contributions through your comments, feedback, and suggestions. Our team works every day to improve the library and make it more user-friendly for everyone, and we promise to continue doing it. We’d like to remind you that donations made between September 15 and October 1 will entitle you to an unlimited number of downloads (999 downloads per day). Throughout the year, there have been many changes and updates to the site. We highlighted most of these in our posts and newsletters, though some remained unmentioned. So let’s take a look back at what’s already been accomplished. My Library updates Enhanced filters To help you find the books and articles you've added to the library, we have implemented a new filter in My Library called My Uploads. Just a quick reminder: this applies only to recently uploaded books!   The “Quotes” section in My Library Since Litera Reader introduced various quote impressions—such as "Key Points" or "Thought-Provoking", and so on—we realized it was crucial to enable you to view all marked quotes in your "My Library" - "Quotes". This section includes details about the book where each quote was found, along with its exact location in the text, ensuring that valuable insights are preserved.   Updated Interests A while ago, we began to make our library more socially oriented. So, among other things, there was an Interests section on About Me. Recently, we updated this section and now you can add up to 20 different interests. Note: Interests are clickable and might help you find like-minded people. Released desktop app version 3.2.1 The latest version of our Desktop App brings significant enhancements. We've integrated a built-in VPN, added a widget for notifications, and created a custom login page to speed up the login process. Localized loading screens now display progress, and we've refined the overall app loading experience. In addition, we've fixed several critical technical issues and bugs in order to enhance your overall user experience. In the near future, we are planning to release a new version of our desktop application. Stay tuned! Litera Reader enhancements Recently, we integrated Litera Reader into our platform, enabling you to read books online. We're really glad to see the project grow and evolve, with continuous improvements to the reader. Not long ago, the Litera Reader team has introduced several new features, including quote impressions, comments, and likes for quotes within a book. There's also a notifications menu and bookmarking functionality now available. To stay up to date on the latest updates, follow the channels on Twitter and Telegram. In addition, they’ve also launched their own blog, where you can find information on the latest news. Stay connected and informed! Branding customisation of own mirror sites Mirror sites remain one of the most powerful features of the Z‑Library ecosystem, and they now support branding customization and optional login‑only access. In practice, this means you can run your “own” version of the library at a separate domain, with your visuals and your access rules. For more information, visit our Mirror setup page. Institutions Support Initiative Recently, we launched a program to aid educational institutions, details of which we shared earlier. Since then, we have provided financial assistance to several organizations: - Universidad Tecnológica de Corregidora
 This university needed materials such as educational books (like "Molecular Biology of the Cell" by Alberts, "Molecular Cloning: A Laboratory Manual" by Sambrook & Russell, and "Essential Cell Biology"), academic supplies (including micropipette tips, Merck 9 DNA gel stain, VWR 14 bulk buffer chemicals and solvents like Tris, EDTA, and NaCl), lab consumables, and accessories (like racks and combs) and much more. After transffering the funds, they were able to purchase all the necessary items. - NeurAstra: Laboratory of Observation & Research
 NeurAstra approached us for help in acquiring expensive educational materials. We provided them with requested funds, which they used to buy 86 books and resources, including online lectures. This allowed them to enhance their collection, impacting the work in various ways: during field expeditions, at events and workshops, and by supporting students and visitors who rely on these materials for learning and research.
