Craving something authentic?
The shawarma at "restaurant palestin" in Deir al-Balah, GAZA📍, hits all the right notes with tender, perfectly spiced meat that feels like home 😋

A heartfelt musical tribute to performative activism, where the slogans are loud, the Jew-hate is palpable, knowledge is optional, and the results are nonexistent.

At our October Plenary Meeting, The Board of Deputies of British Jews has overwhelmingly voted to declare that the Green Party of England and Wales, by having adopted an antisemitic platform, has become a racist party.

They say that history repeats itself if we do not learn from the past.
This thread contains a massive lesson for @ZackPolanski
Let me introduce you to a fellow named Max Naumann.
In 1934, Naumann, a German Jew, urged fellow Jews to support Adolf Hitler. He defended the Nazi regime even as it persecuted Jews, and actually petitioned Hitler for the right of Jews to fly the German flag.
In 1935, the Gestapo dissolved his organization and threw him in prison, where he attempted suicide. He died of cancer in 1939, before the Holocaust, but not before discovering how little his loyalty to the Nazis was worth.
I'm not comparing Abdul El-Sayed to Hitler. I'm questioning the idea that a Jewish endorsement is, by itself, evidence of what's best for Jewish safety.
From the Hellenizing Jewish elites of ancient Jerusalem to Jewish supporters of Iran's Islamic Revolution, we have examples throughout our history of Jews aligning themselves with political movements that ultimately turned against them.
Their motivations differed, as did the consequences. But there's a lesson in Max Naumann's story that's worth remembering.
Being Jewish has never made anyone immune to being catastrophically wrong about what's good for Jews.

Why do senior Green politicians have such poor genes
Does the party attract ugly people or something?

‘What’s happening in Gaza is worse than the Nazis! It’s worse than any other war in world history! It’s worse than the limitless wars of annihilation and genocides perpetrated by Muslim regimes, including ones going on right now, that have claimed literally thousands of times more lives that we support’.
How does anyone fall for this melodrama. The war’s horrifying. But ya boyz stormed through a fence, murdered and raped absolutely everyone, vowed to do it again, seized captives to massacre in tunnels, then hid in schools and hospitals. Now they’re experiencing the absolutely inevitable response.
Stop with the cry bullying.
Replying to @maxklingerpol
What Nazis did to Jews in the Holocaust is less evil than what Jews are doing in Gaza today.
The Gaza genocide is the most important event in the past 100 years easy. Forget Ukraine, it is More important that the Holocaust.

If you wonder what you would have done if you lived through the rise of the Nazis in Germany and its growing persecution of its Jews:
You're doing it now.
The Green Party wants to replace this with yet another failed islamic state where women are oppressed, gays are murdered just for being gay and everyone apart from the terrorists in charge are miserable.

Wow, a true story of strength and resistance in the face of certain death.
This is the post-Oct 7 mindset, right here in Paris.
A young mom with a newborn tried to stop the looters from destroying the little shop under her apartment.
They answered her with “You bourgeois bitch, we’re going to rape you.”
Then they forced their way into the building while she locked herself inside with her baby.
The next day a far-left sociologist (and pro-Palestinian activist) shrugged it off as “collateral damage” of the revolution.
It’s the same logic that treated the mass rape and murder of Israeli women and girls on October 7 as “legitimate resistance.”
Once you open that door, it doesn’t stay in one place. It shows up on European streets, American campuses, and everywhere else that decided some people’s bodies are fair game if they’re on the wrong side of the story.
Israel has been living with this for decades. Now everyone else is getting a taste.
And if these are “students,” I’m a newborn.
Again, we told you so.

The Nazi guards never heard the baby crying inside her toolbox. If they had, 2,500 children would have died.
In 1942, a 32-year-old Polish social worker named Irena Sendler walked into the Warsaw Ghetto carrying a simple toolbox. She had a permit to check for typhus outbreaks. The guards waved her through. Hidden beneath the wrenches and rags was a six-month-old baby. She walked past armed soldiers and handed the child to a Polish family waiting outside the walls. The next morning she walked back in and did it again.
For three years Irena smuggled approximately 2,500 Jewish children out of the Warsaw Ghetto. She hid infants in toolboxes, sedated children and smuggled them in coffins, concealed them in ambulances under stretchers, and used sewer pipes. Every child received a new Polish name. Irena recorded everything—real names, new names, locations—on tissue paper sealed in glass jars and buried in a friend’s garden.
By October 1943 the Gestapo caught her. They tortured her, broke both her legs and both her feet, and beat her unconscious. She gave them nothing. After months they sentenced her to death. The night before her execution, the underground bribed a guard. He led her out and recorded her as “executed.”
She went immediately back to work and continued until the war ended. When the war ended she dug up the jars and spent months trying to reunite children with families. Most parents had died in the camps.
For decades almost no one knew about her. Then in 1999 four teenage girls in Kansas found a brief mention of a woman who had saved 2,500 children. They researched and wrote a play. At age 89 Irena Sendler became famous. She was honored by Pope John Paul II and nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. She died in 2008 at age 98.
One estimate suggests those 2,500 rescued children produced approximately 6,000 descendants. She was a social worker with a permit and a toolbox. She walked into hell every day for three years and walked out carrying children. The Nazis broke her legs. They couldn’t break her will.

A scrupulously balanced report, which thereby misconstrues the issue. Zack Polanski is not ‘caught in the middle’ of some esoteric dispute. He’s played a central role in transforming @TheGreenParty into an openly racist org. There’s no middle ground. These people must be fought.
After Zack Polanski's by-election defeat and the passing of the controversial 'Zionism is racism' motion, @alexrogerssky digs into the growing splits within the Green Party and what it might mean for the left of British politics.

Hard for us to imagine this in our cosy little western worlds, but for the first time in 25 years, a whole year has passed without a single rocket from Gaza reaching Israel.
For 25 years, Israelis have lived with the constant fear of bombardment, never knowing when they might have to run to a bomb shelter to save their lives. Imagine living like that.
No other country in the world would be EXPECTED to put up with it.
No other country WOULD put up with it.
This life, free from rockets from Hamas, is what the brave IDF warriors have fought for. So many have given their lives and so many families have made unimaginable sacrifices, all for the hope that one day Israel can live free from terror.
May this be the first of eternal years without rockets, without sirens and without the fear that has been part of everyday life for so long.
