🚨 BREAKING: A UK bank chief executive has said of Healey's budget: "Taxing the engines of growth to reduce VAT on gherkins is end-of-Rome level of stupidity" ft.com/content/80acb561-34e2…

The budget was a flop. John Healey found over £10 billion more in support for Ukraine. But, only found £2.6 billion to help up to 20 million British households with their energy bills. Just £100 each. Less than a day's wages for many workers. Meanwhile, another £150 million has been allocated to accommodate asylum seekers. More money for Ukraine. More money for asylum accommodation. Just £100 in direct energy support for struggling British households. A disappointing budget from a Labour government that, in my view, continues to fail to put the British people first. Will British taxpayers ever become the priority?
Labour has announced over £10 billion in additional financial backing for Ukraine. Meanwhile, British households are getting £2.6 billion in help with their heating bills this winter. Over £10 billion for Ukraine. £2.6 billion for struggling British families. It continues to feel as though Ukraine is a bigger priority for Labour than the British people who elected them. When will British taxpayers come first?

😬 Nick Ferrari properly embarrassed the Chancellor on @LBC this morning by mocking his Budget. The first 30 seconds of the interview basically summed the whole thing up. He didn’t ease in. He went straight for the jugular and treated the Budget like the joke it is: “4p off the price of gherkins, 2p on a pint and a return to public/private partnership. This is not groundbreaking, Chancellor!” That’s it. That’s the big offer. 🤷‍♂️ Healey immediately said he “disputes that” and tried the old “if I can do the small things, I should do them” line, then claimed credit for freezing fuel duty. Ferrari was having none of it: “That was already frozen, wasn’t it? Where’s the big BOLD ideas, Chancellor?” And that was basically the interview. They could’ve ended it there. This Budget has gone down like a lead balloon. It does almost nothing for anyone. No one is coming away from it today thinking things are turning. It’s just a dull, unambitious continuation of the Starmer-Reeves government, the same tinkering, the same lack of vision, the same refusal to actually change anything that matters. The Burnham bounce is well and truly over. He talked a big game: we’ll do this, we’ll do that, things have to change, government working for the people, blah blah blah. Then he delivers this. 💀

🚨BREAKING: All Britons may need ID to use social media, the UK's online safety regulator today announces “This plan for a government ‘social media ban’ is a national ID system by the back door. Both the government and Ofcom have admitted that children will get around the ban, which means the real effect will be normalising adults and children alike to hand over their passports just to get online. Hundreds of thousands of people without ID, who tend to be poorer people, and many more who don’t want to risk handing their passports over to foreign tech companies will be locked out of huge parts of the internet. The plan will kill anonymity online, whilst the UK’s culture of speech policing is reaching a crisis point. The policy is painfully misguided, an Orwellian assault on free speech and privacy, and will make children no safer at all. The false illusion that children aren’t on social media will cause the companies to abandon all their child safety measures. The Government could be promoting meaningful safety measures and supporting parental controls that genuinely protect children - instead, they’re demanding government ID from the whole population just for uncensored internet access. It is authoritarian madness.” - Silkie Carlo | @silkiecarlo Read ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10…

Bingo!! Lula’s days are numbered and he knows it. That’s why there was no celebrating his victory in Brazil and why he immediately demanded Bolsonaro’s arrest and massive censorship across the country. He was taking the steps needed, to solidify his dictatorship, masquerading as democracy. Except the rug was pulled out from under him, as he was stealing the election. He knows he’s isolated. He knows he has no outside help and now he is “trapped” within Brazil awaiting justice. His forces could do nothing to stop Bolsonaro’s exit to safety. Which means that he doesn’t have the control over Brazil that he thought he had. He thought he held all the cards, like he did when Biden was president. But he really underestimated the “Trump Card.” And now look at his face. The arrogance is gone. That is the face of someone who ALREADY knows they are defeated and just awaiting punishment. It’s coming.
This is not the face of a winner. He knows it, too. The electoral fraud was broadcast live to the entire world. He seized power brazenly, right in front of everyone. That’s why he looks the way he does. He probably intended to take all his anger out on Bolsonaro, but Bolsonaro has already made it to safety. This communist devil has nothing left but to wait for the day he is arrested, just like Maduro. 🇧🇷🔥

What sort of country gives loads of its people's money to other countries, then pleads poverty to its people and taxes them into oblivion? This one 🇬🇧

Did you know that Folic Acid was mandated to be added to Flour without a parliamentary vote using secondary legislation? Not one MP raised the point at the time in order to introduce a 'prayer motion' to try and halt it? Since then only Rupert Lowe has come out and backed a petition by Dr Clare Craig which is another method to halt the process.

😂 Nick Ferrari bursts out laughing as Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds is forced to sell the latest government gimmick live on @LBC Reynolds looked thoroughly embarrassed as he tried to sell the plan to scrap import tariffs on a list of “everyday essentials”. When Ferrari asked him which products were included and what the actual savings would be, Reynolds immediately started dampening expectations, sheepishly admitting these were “not huge reductions” before reeling off the list: baked beans, chocolate, gherkins… That’s as far as he got. Ferrari could not contain himself and burst out laughing. 😭 Nick then pointed out that the Conservatives have called the projected saving of £21 per year “derisory”. You could see Reynolds was mortified reading it out. Imagine the brief he opened this morning and realised he had to go on air and sell this to the public. 😬 What a farce. Even on the government’s own figures, this works out at roughly 40p a week for the average household. Forty pence a week. You lucky people. Another pointless gimmick that will have zero material impact on people’s lives.

“You just spooked everyone telling them to stop pile (for a crisis)” Andy Burnham:- <Smug look & laughs knowingly> “It’s a challenging World” The UK PM treats the Public with absolute contempt after telling everyone they need to “prepare for a crisis” - now we can’t even keep a straight face‼️

Another car crash interview from Labour. “That’s £190,000 per person…we could buy them all a house.” This Labour govt are out of their depth. This is scarily incompetent. It’s no wonder Labour are bankrupting us and taxes are going up to pay for it.

🇧🇷💔 TONIGHT, MY HEART BREAKS FOR BRAZIL. Lula’s projected victory comes after an election night overshadowed by a deeply controversial decision. Just THREE MINUTES before polls were scheduled to close, Cristiano Zanin — Lula’s former lawyer, now a Supreme Court justice — ordered a two-hour voting extension. To me, the parallels with Maduro’s playbook are deeply troubling. I FEAR BRAZIL HAS BEEN ROBBED OF SOMETHING FAR MORE PRECIOUS THAN AN ELECTION: ITS TRUST IN DEMOCRACY. And my greatest fear is for Brazil’s children and grandchildren. They will inherit the consequences of the decisions made today. Freedom is precious. Once it is lost, winning it back can take generations. NO CHILD SHOULD HAVE TO GROW UP FIGHTING FOR THE FREEDOMS THEIR PARENTS ONCE ENJOYED. Praying for Brazil, its children and its future. ❤️‍🩹🇧🇷

The UK government has, since April, spent no less than £61 billion - that’s £61,000,000,000 - on debt interest payments. That’s equivalent to our entire annual defence budget - on just half a year’s worth of debt service costs, not paying back a penny of our national debt. For £61bn you could build 40 state-of-the-art hospitals. Or employ 100,000 nurses for a decade Or fund free-at-the-point-of-use social care, across the entire UK, for three years. Watch this short “When The Facts Change” video for more on the UK’s soaring debt interest bill - the biggest national scandal our mainstream media continues to ignore.
