🚨NEW: The Online Safety Act has been a failure, according to a new report from Ofcom. Ofcom have found "no significant change" in children encountering harmful content since the law came into effect last July. This is despite the signifigant threats to free speech and privacy.

ONE LOGIN: "Tony Blair wants to build upon One Login" - @AndrewOrlowski Govt digital identify system One Login has quietly expanded across 250+ government services - with more planned We say: FREEZE ONE LOGIN - expansion must not continue without proper parliamentary scrutiny and safeguards for privacy and civil liberties Why is a system of this significance being allowed to scale to millions of people without full public debate & scrutiny? Stronger #together

"Your child won't get a phone unless you give them one. "I see little kids sat on iPads, that is bad parenting. We need to start blaming the people who ought to be blamed." - @sophielouisecc @andyburnham you have no mandate to push "Papers Please" for all to get online - if parents don't like phones or social media, they can simply stop their kids using them #dontidtheinternet

Why did the Government shut down its own independent privacy watchdog for One Login? In 2025, the Government disbanded OLIPAG - a 20 member group of independent experts tasked with scrutinising One Login's privacy, data use and accessibility. A replacement was reportedly "planned" - but more than 19 months later, there's still no publicly identifiable successor. Meanwhile, One Login continues expanding across 250+ government services and millions of people. Why was independent scrutiny removed - and why hasn't it been restored? Covid Inquiry admits jab mandates drove care workers out of their jobs and increased pressure on care homes The @covidinquiryuk has failed to deliver the serious scrutiny and accountability the country deserves, but buried in its latest report is a significant admission. The Inquiry concludes that compulsory Covid jabs for care home workers: ❌ Caused staff to leave the sector ❌ Increased pressure on already overstretched care providers ❌ Fostered distrust and division The Government KNEW the policy risked making staffing shortages worse. It went ahead anyway. The sector lost up to 40,000 experienced care workers forced to choose between accepting a medical intervention and keeping their livelihoods. This finding does not vindicate the Inquiry's wider work. Far from it. But it is an important acknowledgement of the damaging consequences of coercive Covid-era policies. Those responsible must be held accountable - and never again should people be forced to choose between bodily autonomy and their jobs. DIGITAL ID PLEDGE: "I don't want there to be a universal log in where the government can just 'switch you off'" - @DecentraSuze The national Digital ID proposal was defeated - but the risk of digital control has not gone away One Login, the GOV UK App and Wallet, digital credentials and identity checks could still grow into Digital ID in all but name That is why The Pledge still matters It is a simple but serious commitment to refuse Digital ID - whatever name it is given. The control freak state won't stop until we push back together!
"PAPERS PLEASE" TO GET ONLINE: "About control" @samikshassotd at @acadofideas A “social media ban for children” will ultimately mean ID checks for all of us before we can speak online @UKLabour @DCMS @Conservatives @LibDems There is nothing safe about a society where ordinary people must be identified, monitored, and recorded simply to participate #dontidtheinternet #Battlefest

"Papers Please" to get online? We say NO! @andyburnham @UKLabour Social media platforms already know an extraordinary amount about their users They can already use AI to infer whether someone is a child or teenager to a high degree of accuracy Before putting millions of adults through an ID checkpoint to access social media, the Government and the platforms should have to explain why the information they already have isn't enough - and how requiring every single user to prove their age using government-issued ID can possibly be: - Necessary - Proportionate - Or indeed safe in itself - given databases are compromised ALL THE TIME #dontidtheinternet

Millions were relieved when you scrapped the national Digital ID proposal. So why is your Government still expanding One Login and the GOV UK Wallet without proper scrutiny or safeguards @AndyBurnham? Officials just told Parliament that One Login now covers 264 services and is intended to reach all 500 central-government services within 18–24 months. They also said the GOV UK Wallet is heading for national rollout next year, with more than 80 government credentials identified for inclusion over time. This is exactly why expansion of these systems needs proper parliamentary scrutiny NOW, genuinely independent review and a legal guarantee of free, equivalent non-digital routes. In particular, One Login should be FROZEN immediately pending proper independent review. Not only have whistleblowers raised grave security concerns, but millions of Company Directors have already been forced to digitally verify their identity through One Login, on pain of prosecution - the only possible way to avoid this being an intermediary, usually costing £60 - £120. Clearly, that is not a free choice. Read the official evidence from the Public Accounts Committee: committees.parliament.uk/ora…

VACCINE DAMAGE PAYMENT SCHEME: Only 1% of the 24,260 Covid jab claims submitted to the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme have resulted in a payout to victims To qualify for any payment under the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme, claimants must establish, on the balance of probabilities, that an eligible vaccination caused their injury and must meet the scheme’s threshold of at least 60% disablement. This high threshold can exclude people who have suffered serious, life-changing injuries but do not meet the scheme’s specific assessment criteria. This is the future the UK wants for the entire Internet: only a handful of companies, ones that obey British censorship rules, may be permitted to survive.
The Online Safety Act has made hosting community forums so laborious that they're closing shop. Hundreds of forums have shuttered due to piling paperwork and liability risks. Ordinary speech from ordinary people, gone. Read our report ⤵️ bigbrotherwatch.org.uk/campa…
