My sincere appreciation goes to everyone who celebrated me on my birthday, sent me goodwill messages, offered prayers, gave gifts, shared kind words, or took the time to admonish and offer me words of wisdom.
I may not be able to respond individually to everyone as I would wish, but please be assured that I do not take any of these gestures for granted.
I pray you’ll all be celebrated. 🙌🏾

Surround yourself with ambitious people.
The dreamers.
The doers.
The supporters.
They'll never mock you for trying.
If applause makes you feel valuable and criticism makes you feel worthless, you have given people too much control over your identity. There will be seasons when people celebrate you and seasons when nobody notices your effort. Know who you are beyond stage, the microphone, and the the followers.
Your identity must be stronger than the applause you receive.
Watch the jokes your friends and acquaintances crack around you.
Do not insult me in the name of a joke and expect me to laugh if off with you because what exactly is funny about you disrespecting me?
People have become so comfortable hiding their true intentions and how they really feel behind humour that they say most outrageous things to you and the moment you react, it's oh! I'm just kidding.
Sometimes people use jokes to test how much disrespect you are willing to condone. They throw little jabs, make subtle digs, take shots at your insecurities and then watch how you react. So the moment you call them out suddenly you're too sensitive, you cannot take a simple joke.
I love to laugh. I love a good banter. But there is a difference between cracking a joke and making me the joke. Familiarity is not permission to disrespect me. And friendship does not give you unlimited access to my dignity. some jokes are simply unacceptable by me.
If you cannot speak to me without belittling me, then we're perhaps not as close as you think we are. I refuse to laugh at something that doesn't sit right with me just to prove that I'm a good sport.
Know the difference between a friend who jokes with you and one who uses humour to say what they will never have the courage to say to you seriously.

"Miracles" can happen when you have absolute clarity about what you really want.
