This election is not left/right. It's right/anti-Bibi, also made up of right-wingers.
Once Bibi is out, Israel will shift to its natural right-wing position it technically is in now. Possibly the most right-wing country in the world!
Insane that the person singularly responsible for destroying socialism in Israel, is stopping it from being literally snuffed out once and for all.
🚨 BREAKING NEWS — ISRAEL ELECTION UPDATE
LEFT-WING CHANNEL 12 — UPDATED EXIT POLL PROJECTIONS:
🔵 Netanyahu Bloc: 52 seats
🔴 Eisenkot Bloc: 49 seats
🟢 Arab Parties: 19 seats
61 SEATS REQUIRED FOR A MAJORITY
Even according to left-wing Channel 12's exit poll, Netanyahu's bloc leads the Eisenkot bloc by 3 seats.
Neither bloc has secured a parliamentary majority.
These are exit poll projections, NOT final results. The political picture could change significantly as actual votes are counted.
I've been saying this all night, at this point they're going to new elections.
Bibi would have to be insane to do anything else besides caretaker at this point.
Yeah, he'll go through motions of setting up some sort of unity/minority govt - but they are going to new elections.
Eisenkot’s dilemma:
1. His failed “change coalition” will be crushed at a second election if they use the Jihadi-supporting Joint List to “stick it to the right” and temporarily get their Bibi scalp.
2. If he doesn’t, but also doesn’t partake in some form of unity coalition, Netanyahu, from the comfort of the Prime Minister’s chair, will run out the clock and call new elections in May, in which he will do better, since he lost 5% of the right-wing votes to Winter’s and Hendel’s failed start-up parties. Also, events in the region—war with Iran, and perhaps peace with the Saudis—will likely play to Netanyahu’s favour.
3. So the smart play for him is to offer Netanyahu his party in a unity coalition, but he comes with a very weak hand, since he won’t be able to bring the leftists under Golan with him, or Liberman’s party (whose entire career is focused on unseating Netanyahu).
And what would be in it for Netanyahu? Netanyahu is aware of points 1 and 2 above. He could simply play out the clock, let the negotiations fail, blame Eisenkot, and come back with the extra few seats he needs in May. Would he betray his reliable hard-right and Haredi allies for what could be a short-term coalition? Unlikely.
The problem is that when someone has the choice of who gets to extort them, nobody gets to do it. And that is the definition of power. Optionality. All Eisenkot’s options are bad, all Netanyahu’s are good.
And like that...
No one cares anymore about @elonmusk and his flying car.
Cheerios is boldly going where no cereal has gone before: a resealable Ziploc bag.
The option will be available on Original and Honey Nut Cheerios beginning Tuesday, online at Walmart, before rolling out to retailers nationwide in the coming months. wapo.st/4ibAkPi
Any aren't 18 yet.
And many vote for other parties.
If the exit polls hold, tonight raises a huge demographic question: How is Israel’s fastest-growing population, the ultra-Orthodox, not gaining Knesset seats? Yes, there are reasons for lower turnout, including some Shas voters demanding mandatory military service. But where are the huge families, hundreds of grandchildren and demographic growth at the ballot box? Shas drops from 11 to 7 seats. Stunning.

This guy is definitely retarded.
The Bank of Israel operates almost entirely the same as our Federal Reserve.
They are both independent. The ownership is irrelevant.
Also, Kevin Warsh isn't a dual citizen

There is only one rule in modern Israeli politics:
Never. Underestimate. Bibi.
So the only place in the middle East where Arab Muslims & Christians can view is in Israel.
Got it.
Supporters of Israel’s Arab-led parties celebrate as exit polls project gains for the Joint List and Ra’am. The two parties are projected to win a combined 17 to 18 seats.

My “Advise” would be stop listening to people who still take the short bus around
Wait.
So can you explain this genius take in any other context?
The guys party isn't some fringe.
It's in line with many other parties.
And you can call him all the names in the book.
But once upon a time your friend Naftali Bennett was called the same names.
Fighting antisemitism is like fighting poverty.
It's useless.
It never goes away.
After 22 years of researching and documenting antisemitism, I've become convinced that we're fighting symptoms rather than causes.
My research led me to a much larger problem: flawed philosophical frameworks that cannot accommodate Jews as Jews actually are, and that increasingly threaten the foundations of liberal society itself.
So I've been developing Derechology, an alternative ethical framework that reconciles universal morality with particularism and offers new approaches to AI ethics, education, history, and much more.
This year I've published three books applying its concepts, with more on the way, including How to Think and The Jewish Question. My ultimate goal is to publish the complete Derechology framework.
My Substack is the laboratory where I develop and test these ideas, and I welcome criticism, suggestions, and collaboration.
It's an ambitious project for one independent researcher. But after two decades of documenting antisemitism, I want to do more than document it.
A progress report and where I'm headed, link in next post.
Maybe it's time to get lawyers involved.
Replying to @verge
This article is full of blatant misinformation.
"The components Luckey specified that are planned to be American-made from the start are the display glass, the frame around the display, and parts of the ribbon component."
No. That is not what I said. This was a response to a specific question about the display modules in the current prototype vs the final product. As I explicitly said, BlueChip has American chips, batteries, metallics, plastics, glass, etc, and we have a clear technical roadmap to 100% American components.
"It sounds like BlueChip’s first laptop will be well below the 65-percent requirement to count as American-made"
This is nuts. There is a reason no other reporter has came to this conclusion. One hint might be the extended discussion we had explicitly about the government requirements for American-made hardware and why meeting that bar is so important.
"Palmer Luckey is of course a controversial figure, with his history of fueling right wing troll farms"
This never happened. You are pushing a lie The Verge has pushed for over a decade now. Yes, you have written a bunch of stories claiming this happened, but it just ain't so. I gave $9,000 to a group that ran a single anti-Clinton billboard. The "right wing troll farms" narrative was a fabricated story pushed shortly before the 2016 election because Dems desperately wanted a right-wing equivalent to the actually-real Correct The Record, an online astroturfing organization that paid people to troll and "correct" Trump supporters online.
But there was no such thing. It was all disinformation. Which is why most of the stories about it were later deleted. Yet here you are, lying again.
Are you high?
This will not happen.
Ever.
Ra'am is going to request that Mansour Abbas be made deputy PM in whichever Knesset hes asked to join and wow.
Thats quite literally *this* close to Israel having its first Palestinian PM.
Nobody can form a government without him.
This is pretty historical shit . .
I feel really blessed and honored to be here to witness it
