Maryam Mirzakhani would turn 47 today. In 2014, she became the first woman to be awarded the Fields Medal for her groundbreaking discoveries in the dynamics and geometry of Riemann surfaces. She made significant contributions to the field of mathematics, particularly in the area of hyperbolic geometry and the study of geometric structures on surfaces.
Sadly, Maryam passed away in 2017 at the age of 40 due to complications from breast cancer. Her untimely death was a significant loss to the mathematical community.

Advice for students who has just started PhD
Always start your day early and finish before dinner.. Never ever work late night.. It might sound cool working late night and starting day after lunch.. But it never works! Engage in sports, it helps alot.

@TheOfficialSBI Visited nearest branch and submitted KYC to remove the STOP due to KYC non-compliance. They told it can be done in Homebranch only. Atleast inform in prior b4 doing such things. SBI is worst for a reason and it is proved again.

Please hike the fellowship of the PhD students. Rs. 31K (for JRF) and 35K (for SRF) is no longer economically viable for various obvious reasons.
Increase it to something like 45K and 51K for JRF and SRF respectively. @dpradhanbjp

Shld IF matter? At lst accrdng to DORA it shouldn’t. Rcntly @DBTIndia , a DORA signatory stopped using IF in thr communication. Hwevr, while writing a grant closure report, I found @serbonline still asks IF of the publications. Do they consider that during evaluation? I dn’t know
