Why can women request women only Uber drivers, and that's not sexist, but if a man wants a 50 yr old male pilot, that's sexist?

I'm a cardiologist.
Back against the kitchen wall, knees bent, two minutes. Rest. Four times.
In a 100-person randomized trial, doing that 3 days a week for 4 weeks lowered systolic pressure about 9 points more than in people who didn't.
Save this one.
Four weeks of wall squats reduced systolic blood pressure by nearly 10 points in adults with high blood pressure.
Researchers then compared continuing three sessions weekly with reducing to two, one, or none for another month. Systolic pressure remained roughly 7 mmHg below starting levels in the once- and twice-weekly groups. Continuing three sessions weekly produced the greatest reduction of about 14 mmHg. In those who stopped completely, blood pressure moved back toward baseline.
This fits with a previous analysis of randomized trials that identified isometric exercise, which involves holding a muscle contraction, as an effective way to lower resting blood pressure.
What interests me is the practical question - how much of an exercise benefit can we preserve when we temporarily have less time? This study suggests that reducing the frequency can retain part of the benefit for up to a month.

STATINS CUT YOUR GLP-1 IN HALF
GLP-1 is a hormone your own gut makes every time you eat. It tells your body you're full and helps you handle sugar. The Ozempic/Wegovy shots are a weak copy of it.
In a 16-week human trial, people on atorvastatin saw their active GLP-1 fall from 5.18 to 2.65 pg/mL. That's about a 49% drop.
If your blood sugar has crept up since you started a statin, bring it up with your doctor. Don't stop any medicine on your own, but ask if you still need it, and ask for a fasting insulin test.

Israel burned her body, imprisoned her, deprived her of her freedom, and subjected her to beatings and abuse behind the bars of its prisons. The scars of burns and torture have become a testimony to the pain and suffering she endured

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

Reasons your nose is ALWAYS congested:
➞ Gut inflammation
➞ Mold / mycotoxins
➞ Fungal colonization → many chronic sinus inflammation involves an immune reaction to fungi in the nasal passages
➞ Bacterial biofilms → bacteria like Staph hide in protective films and keep the sinuses chronically irritated
➞ Histamine / mast cell issues
➞ Low nitric oxide
➞ Low CO2 from overbreathing
➞ Low thyroid → swollen nasal tissue and thick mucus
➞ High estrogen → swells the nasal lining (why congestion often spikes in pregnancy)
➞ Acid reflux → stomach acid reaching the throat and nose irritates everything upstream
➞ Dental infections → upper tooth roots sit right under the sinuses
➞ Mouth breathing
➞ Deviated septum (But up to ~80% of people have some deviation, and most never have symptoms, so more of a contributor)
➞ Other structural issues → enlarged turbinates, adenoids or nasal polyps (same story as above)
Quick fixes: humming raises nasal NO up to 15x and studies show it can relieve congestion. Holding your breath after a gentle exhale (raising CO2) can open a blocked nose in under a minute.

She divorced her husband at 9 AM. At 12:30 PM, he bought a lottery ticket that won $40,000,000.
In a staged Southern Justice courtroom episode, Diana Taylor sues her ex-husband Mark for half the prize.
She tells the judge the ticket was bought with money from their shared account. She also says she gave up her career and spent seven years following Mark as he chased his dreams.
Mark brings a receipt showing he bought the ticket after the divorce.
Diana says the winning numbers match dates from their relationship. She points to their wedding, their first date and even their dog's birthday.
Mark says he didn't choose the numbers. The machine did.
He also files a counterclaim for $2,500, which the judge throws out.
The judge rules that the winnings belong to Mark because he bought the ticket after the divorce. Diana gets none of the $20 million she requested.
