Chancellor Healey says he encourages people on ordinary incomes to save and invest. To encourage them more he slapped an extra 2% tax on savings to add to Reeves' earlier 2%. This is invariably on already taxed income. All to pay for out of control welfare. Labour robbers.
Andy Burnham says he wants to cut the welfare bill "as soon as we possibly can", but was unable to guarantee this would happen before the next general election. Andy Burnham also says he wants to tell the truth, but was unable to guarantee this will ever happen. Bluffing Burnham.
No 10 now clarifying that despite the Chancellor saying he would cut the welfare bill by the next election there is no commitment to do so. Of course there isn't, this is Labour after all.

The reason that Burnham is negotiating with the EU about rejoining is that he is going for a General Election in May with rejoin part of the manifesto. In this way he hopes to avoid another referendum, which he fears he would lose. The election becomes a second EU referendum.

Burnham blames Brexit for small boats. In 2019 under the "Dublin Regulation" 714 people were transferred into UK and 263 people were transferred out to EU. In 2016/17, 1,019 people were transferred to UK, with only 676 returns. Burnham is a LIAR, trying to hoodwink the public.
With a million young people not in work, training or education (largely due to Labour) Burnham's focus is on a return to unlimited migration from the EU. A telling choice.
