🏛️ ARGYLL & BUTE: WHAT DO YOUR COUNCILLORS GET PAID?
💷 Ordinary councillor: £26,839 a year.
💷 Council Leader: up to £51,715 a year.
💷 Provost: up to £38,787 a year.
💷 Committee membership: no extra payment simply for attending meetings. Designated senior roles may attract additional remuneration.
These are annual amounts before tax. The Provost chairs full Council meetings and represents Argyll & Bute at civic events.
Councillors should represent residents, help with casework, scrutinise spending and challenge decisions.
Are they delivering value for money? Residents deserve transparency, measurable results and councillors who hold those in power to account.

MID ARGYLL - YOUR VOTE MATTERS.
This Thursday, you have the opportunity to help shape the future of Argyll and Bute Council.
Makerfield has shown how consequential a single election can become. Its voters made their choice, and the result has consequences far beyond one constituency. That is democracy, and it is a reminder that votes matter.
Mid Argyll has its own issues, its own priorities and its own future. You do not have to accept that local politics cannot change.
One councillor cannot change everything overnight. But one councillor can ask questions, scrutinise decisions, challenge the administration and press for action on local concerns. That is how accountability begins.
George Love stands for a council culture built on the Nolan Principles of public life:
• Selflessness — serving the public interest.
• Integrity — acting properly and declaring interests.
• Objectivity — making fair, evidence-based decisions.
• Accountability — answering to the public.
• Openness — being transparent about decisions.
• Honesty — telling the truth.
• Leadership — upholding standards and challenging poor conduct.
This is about more than party politics. It is about standards, scrutiny and making sure residents’ voices are heard.
Mid Argyll, you have the power to start turning the ship around at Argyll and Bute Council. Use it.
This Thursday, vote 1 for George Love.
Under the Single Transferable Vote (STV) system, mark 1 beside George Love as your first preference.

Good pick up by Restore. An already popular councillor in the area. Very sensible.
An ex Tory, like most of us, and like most of us, we weren't MPs overseeing the destruction of our country either.
Ignore the noise, Reform voters will cry over anything.

“Dinnae talk havers.” 😉
Mid Argyll needs a councillor who asks the questions, scrutinises decisions and stands up for residents.
Less political spin. More accountability.
I’m George Love. Put 1 next to my name on your ballot paper on Thursday.

With the election coming up and no more weekends ahead of us before the vote, the campaign team would like offer our thanks and rally one big roar before election day.
From the bottom of our hearts, on behalf of the campaign team here at Restore:
To the activists who fought storms, rain, and bad roads to canvas and talk to voters
The organisers behind the scenes working to get volunteers organised
Those across Scotland working behind the scenes on social media to get the message of hope and change out to the public
The staff at HQ for their support and guidance
And most importantly to George himself who has proven that Restore Britain leads with candidates with reasons to be in politics beyond greed.
Our campaign was done with hope and love of our country, in the background of the last month of our activists across the UK being attacked and abused.
It must be said, in fairness, we also thank our opposition for conducting themselves in a civil and well mannered way. Scotland, as always, walks with class and dignity.
With only a few nights left before election day, from all of us as Restore Britain and the George Love Campaign Team, we thank you all. We are hopeful with your trust and belief in us that we will win this council seat.
We will still be posting and our volunteers will be out over the next few days, but from the team God bless to you all, and see you on the other side of Thursday.
Vote pref 1 for George Love
