please. stop. yes, the other campaign runs mean ads too. this wasn't a mean ad. This was about childhood sexual abuse. Republicans weaponized it. Be as disgusted with me as you want, if there are no lines in the sand, we don't deserve civilization. nationalreview.com/corner/wh…

"I am entitled to investment returns on money that was never invested" is a fun take I've been seeing a lot lately
Someone should explain to you about compounding interest. I paid 250000. Amortize it over 37 years at historical market returns & get back to me There's 0 chance I get more back than I should That this concept escapes you is the very reason why you're never going to have shit

I don't understand the people who argue "this topic isn't important enough, and you're wasting your time writing about it, Jim" who also believe the topic is important enough for the time and attention of the president of the United States. And...@NRO obtains the legal docs. Whichever ad makers and strategists greenlit this without determining whether or not Acton's story held up should be tarred and feathered. Political malpractice of the highest order. nationalreview.com/news/amy-…

The haste and disorder of modern life, the alienating forms of modern architecture, the noise and spoliation of modern industry — these things have made the pure encounter with beauty a rarer, more fragile, and more unpredictable thing for us. -Roger Scruton MBD: nationalreview.com/corner/sc…

NEW: Following the release of an ad in which her mother, Donna Arthur, attacks her, court records obtained by @NRO confirm key parts of Amy Acton’s personal history, including that she was sexually abused by her stepfather while Arthur was married to him nationalreview.com/news/amy-…

Republicans will do anything to win these elections, except learn something about health care.

Ready for something odd? Here’s the press release page for Ubiquiti. There is no statement, rebuttal, or response to the Hunterbrook report, contending that export-banned Ubiquiti equipment is easily and widely reaching Russian forces, and used in drone strikes against Ukrainian civilians. It’s been about nine months. I would be happy to share Ubiquiti’s side of the story, but so far, they haven’t put out their side of the story. And when a big U.S. company gets accused of _facilitating war crimes_ and doesn’t put out any response . . . you start to wonder if there is another side of the story.
