Almost 4 months later, Tesla still hasn’t sent v14 Lite to thousands of HW3 owners in New Zealand & Australia! leaving us waiting with no explanation for the delay. @Tesla @teslasi @TeslaAUNZ @elonmusk @aelluswamy @yunta_tsai
FSD v14 Lite is now rolling out to AI3 early-access customers. Based on the feedback, will rollout to more customers over the next few weeks.
This build distills the driving behavior from AI4’s v14 series into both the camera and compute config of AI3. It includes destination options and speed profiles on city roads, but more importantly significantly improved safety.
We hope you’ll enjoy it, once the build ships wide.
This is the first hw3 Model S equipped with v14 Lite in the US!
I really think it it our turn NOW to get v14 Lite in New Zealand & Australia! @Tesla @TeslaAUNZ @aelluswamy @elonmusk
The Minor fix for what? We’ve had too many minor fixes for HW3 in Australia & New Zealand!
Shall we just make a major fix with v14 Lite Once? 🤕
We noticed a new Tesla software update 2026.26.6.3 on Model Y Performance (2023) in New South Wales, Australia. View the rollout of this update here: teslascope.com/software/2026…
Finally HW3 S & X has received v14.2 Lite!
I hope soon all RHD HW3 get v14.2 Lite DU in New Zealand & Australia!

Is it why Tesla Australia & New Zealand is slow to roll out v14 lite for HW3?
Tesla headquarter might found out there were not enough staff updating FSD down under? 😂
STRONG SIGNAL 🇦🇺 🇳🇿 Tesla is hiring AI Vehicle Operators across Melbourne, Brisbane, and Auckland to accelerate local FSD development in Right-Hand Drive countries like Australia and New Zealand 🔥
Rather than relying solely on passive customer data, these dedicated teams run 6–8 hour shifts in prototype vehicles to stress-test end-to-end neural net behavior on RHD infrastructure. That means intentionally probing complex local edge cases—like Melbourne’s CBD hook turns, shared tram corridors, high-speed roundabouts, and regional wildlife zones 🆒
And perfecting FSD on Right-Hand Drive roads is a critical prerequisite for an eventual Robotaxi rollout. It proves Tesla’s autonomous vision isn’t staying locked to the US—it’s going global 🔜
This was how Tesla did in America, that seems exact same as down under. If it is the road map, maybe we will have some surprise on this weekend? (I don’t know, I’m just guessing)
Is it correct? Any thoughts?
V14.3.9 has rolled out to AI4 vehicles today in Australia 🇦🇺
In case you forgot, this is a unified version that includes v14.2 Lite.
This confirms that the version we will receive is 14.2 lite, no more updates (for now)
No news for the AI3 rollout as of yet, but this is concrete proof that it is extremely close to a release.
Who can tell me what is causing the delay in the v14.2 Lite rollout in the Australia & New Zealand while Tesla is sending 2026.28.5 within v14.3.9 DU today? 😠🙀
Is it include v14.2 Lite?
We noticed a new Tesla software update 2026.28.5 on Model 3 Performance (2024) in New South Wales, Australia. View the rollout of this update here: teslascope.com/software/2026…
Hi, @Tesla @TeslaAUNZ @teslasi @aelluswamy , Are we getting v14 Lite for HW3 in New Zealand & Australia today? It’s been a 4 year waiting for me!
Replying to @sam_mz20
“Basically, as a good point of reference, we should see it here about a week after you see v14.2L in the US or v14.1.1L (whatever they decide to name the next v14L point release update)”
New Zealand insurance companies need to take the notes here!
Australian Insurance provider @Zurich is now offering cheaper insurance for Teslas with FSD (Supervised) activated — an Australian first 🇦🇺
Zurich says Tesla data shows FSD-equipped cars have 7x fewer major or minor collisions than regular EVs.
It might be another evidence that Tesla is preparing the big merged roll-out with latest version for both hw4 & hw3 in New Zealand & Australia.
Replying to @elonmusk
We are in Australia, purchased our 2nd Tesla with the sole purpose of FSD, still haven’t got the download. Test drove and purchased on 20th May 2026, got the car 29th July, it is now 11th September, still NO FSD. Bit frustrating.
That was the biggest issue about v14 lite, Finally Tesla fixed it with v14.2 Lite!
This version looks very usable in New Zealand & Australia! Can’t wait to get v14.2 Lite!
Tesla officially fixed the issues with FSD hitting obstacles going in reverse with HW3!! BRAVO for implementing this so quickly @teslasi. This is really great news and a new change with v14.2 Lite.
Not difficult at all.
🔥 The first HW4-retrofitted 2022 Tesla Model 3 is now fully operational, including the latest FSD (Supervised) v14!
The retrofit, described as a “nightmare,” required:
✅ HW4 computer replacement
✅ ECU modifications
✅ Camera adapters — no need to replace the camera cables
✅ New windshield
✅ Different camera mounts
✅ Headliner modifications
While the retrofit is technically possible, it seems unlikely that Tesla will offer a paid HW4 upgrade in the future.
Here we go! v14.2 Lite is rolling out in the US! 😂
@TeslaAUNZ @Tesla @aelluswamy PLEASE GIVE the hw3 roll out to NEW ZEALAND & AUSTRALIA Now! Now! Now! 🔥🔥🔥
