1) I'm planning a teardown video schedule.
2) I hired a videographer/editor to make it work.
3) I need repeat sponsorship to make it work
If you want to sponsor teardown videos, get in touch!
(Apparently if you say what you want then sometimes it happens!?)

The materials discovery timeline is compressing from months to minutes — and R&D investment models need to catch up.
At AI Salon Montréal, Dr. Amirreza Ataei has been spotlighting how AI-driven approaches are fundamentally reshaping the front end of materials science. Instead of iterative lab cycles that consume quarters of calendar time and significant budget, AI systems can now screen candidate materials, predict properties, and narrow viable options at a pace that would have seemed implausible five years ago.
For research investors and fund managers, this is a paradigm shift worth understanding:
→ Shorter discovery cycles mean faster paths to IP and commercialisation
→ Reduced wet-lab iteration means lower burn rates for materials-focused startups
→ Portfolio companies in advanced materials, pharma excipients, and specialty chemicals all stand to benefit from compressed timelines
→ The competitive moat is shifting from "who has the best lab" to "who has the best AI-augmented workflow"
This is exactly the kind of shift we built the Material-to-Product Engine around. Our platform lets users scan or upload photos of physical materials, then deploys up to 22 specialist AI agents — including Material Analyst, Chemical Engineer, Cost and Procurement, and Technology Scout — to move from raw material to product concepts, CAD files (STEP/STL), engineering drawings, and full manufacturing plans.
We've already designed 42+ products from real scanned materials. The thesis is simple: if AI can compress discovery, AI can also compress the entire pipeline from material identification through to manufacturable product.
The labs that integrate AI across the full materials-to-product chain won't just discover faster — they'll commercialise faster.

New blog post on VLAs!
VLAs are one of the hottest topics in Robotics and for good reason. This blogpost walks through the recent advancements in architecture from RT1 to MolmoAct2, my thoughts on it.
Please do check it out, and RT/QT for the reach:)

I'm tickled to death that we executed this flawlessly in our first week of beta testing. We finished within 3 minutes of our promised delivery time, perfectly capturing every step of the process as it happened.
We are faster than 3D printing by a long shot.

Full as-designed power operation on this timeline is LEGIT. Excited for startup!
Radiant has secured U.S. Department of Energy (@ENERGY) approval of its Documented Safety Analysis for Kaleidos, making it the only microreactor to be reviewed and approved by the DOE for full power operations.
The approval is not just for criticality, but for Radiant’s full power, full temperature testing at the Idaho National Laboratory. Radiant will test the complete reactor system using the same design it will manufacture at scale.
Next up in the path to commercialization: Readiness Review.

Google's API milestone of 32 billion tokens per minute (533M tokens/sec) marks the transition of LLM inference into utility-scale throughput:
The systems ledger behind 533M tokens/sec:
- Silicon allocation: Requires an active footprint of roughly 650k TPU sockets operating under high batching efficiency.
- Grid commitment: Sustains ~240 MW of continuous electrical load exclusively for first-party model serving, before factoring in Search AI Overviews.
- Network density: Supporting distributed MoE routing at this scale drives continuous 800G optical transceiver traffic across Google's Apollo OCS fabric.
Inference at tens of trillions of tokens per day shifts competitive advantage from peak training FLOPS to vertical ASIC cost structures. Running this volume internally on TPUs shields Alphabet's operating margins from merchant accelerator premiums.

Here we go Taiwan! 🇹🇼
Hon Hai Tech Days is kicking off in Taipei, hosted by @HonHai_Foxconn.
I just sat down with Leo Guo, their GM of Robotics, who walked me through Foxconn’s robotics program and where they’re currently putting their focus.
I really liked their deployment approach.
So, they build their own hardware (robot arms, humanoids) and their own AI models, but they also deploy third-party robots and layer their own software on top.
They experiment a lot, look for new use cases, and are very curious.
Looking forward to learn more here on-site!
Stay tuned for more content! 😎

The fastest company ever to hit $100m ARR! 💸
It's coming from Europe, and it's in the physical AI space.
During the NVIDIA GTC I had a chance to speak with Artjem Weissbeck from @microagi to understand what sits underneath that.
The mission hasn’t changed at all.
Namely, deploy a billion robots! 🤯
They started in data collection. Now it’s models, hardware, data, and the research and people around all of it. End to end.
Most of physical AI is specialising right now: a model company, a data company, a simulation company, a hardware company.
As we discussed their focus is large manufacturers who see robot deployment as how they make it into the next decade.
A manufacturer is not buying components to assemble. They’re buying a working deployment, with safety and accuracy someone has to sign off on.
When the buyer is a plant or a warehouse, end to end is the shape the product has to take.
It also explains the sequence. Starting in data and climbing the stack teaches you precisely what’s missing, because you are the one who keeps hitting it.
@bercankilic, @heimmoritz, @ZenoInMotion, @artjemw it was awesome to catchup!!

in the last 6 months, the 3 decks I’ve seen most are:
- “we’re rolling up / automating CNC machining”
- “we’re building a marketplace of suppliers for manufacturing”
- “we’re building ai-native quoting/erp/factory OS”

you don't even have to be in the same room
with the right Wi-Fi setup, someone walking behind brick walls can still leave a measurable trace at the receiver
the graph uses real Wallhack1.8k recordings: orange is walking, blue is an empty space, both on the same scale. the 3D scene illustrates the idea
if your next thought is “i'll just sit still,” watch the quoted post😁
breathing is enough to give you away
each breath slightly changes how Wi-Fi waves reflect off your chest. with the right receiver and processing, those tiny changes can reveal your breathing rhythm
the graphs in this animation use real WiRe-Breath recordings: orange is the rhythm extracted from Wi-Fi, gray is a reference breathing sensor
i broke down how this works, and what else you can pull out of the radio waves around you, in the article below ↓

Most autorouters stall at 90%. I wanted to see what happens if you don't let it quit.
I ran TraceMaker overnight on 8 complex test boards. Each coloured line is one board, showing the share of connections still open. Some boards hit 80 or 90% fast, then flatline. Instead of giving up, it keeps working through smart choices until a full board comes out.
By morning, 6 of 8 were fully routed and simulated safe. The last two are close: 3 of 196 connections open on an EtherCAT shield, and 1 of 326 on an FPGA dongle.
The second pic is the yellow board. It moved a component, simulated the result, and ended up with better performance and a bigger minimum gap than the original human layout.
What's the hardest board you'd throw at it?

Am I weird or what? AI being able to code better than me never affected me.
Sure, I like coding, but it's just a means to an end. The main goal was always to build stuff. Stuff that helps people, and ultimately makes money.
If I'm able to do that faster, why should I be upset?
