It was 2 years ago today that I introduced the ‘class of 2019’ to the European Parliament in Strasbourg. It was a momentous day and in just under 7 months we would be leaving for the very last time. Our small part in a massive historical event that was and is Brexit.

Joe Biden is already a failed president. And this means the American people are to blame. Biden says Americans stuck in Afghanistan are to blame for their situation. Americans who are unvaccinated are to blame for his tyrannical overreach. The buck stops with everyone else.

Healthy kids this age have a ZERO death rate from covid, according to Johns Hopkins. While the vaccine is great for sick kids, it’s entirely unnecessary for healthy kids.

📈The conservative voters who are leaving the party are not switching to Labour. A significant number have moved to Reform UK (now on close to 10%), say they are undecided or would not vote at the next election. The revolt on the right might be about to return ...

1/2 Here is @nadhimzahawi telling @TimesRadio that kids can overide their parents wishes on vaccines See 2/2 of this thread where he says exactly the opposite, on the same day!!
12-15 year olds could overrule their parents if covid jabs are brought in for that age group. If they are deemed able to make a competent decision, "then that decision will go in the favour of what the teenager decides to do," says @nadhimzahawi. @tnewtondunn | @paulwaugh

There have been a handful of deaths from Covid in Sweden over the past month, so not zero, but what he says is bang on 👇

You may recall that UK #retail sales fell 2.5% m/m in July, which some people tried to pin on #Brexit. Figures for the rest of Europe were published this morning... (p.s. sales fell in the US too)

I am a trade unionist to my core. But, at times, the teaching unions’ response to covid bordered on hysterical and was impossible to defend.
Teachers were at no greater risk from severe Covid than any other profession. But time and again, teaching unions demanded more education-wrecking restrictions, citing teachers’ safety. This was nonsense. They have failed children, says @FraserMyers spiked-online.com/2021/09/02…

Bravery Western “feminists” can’t even imagine, never mind show “solidarity” with.
Group of Afghan women staged protest today in #Kabul to demand their right to work and education. Taliban have banned many women from working outside their homes and girls from attending school, university. Yesterday, similar demonstration broke out in western city of Herat.

So let’s get this straight. We follow the science on decisions that should be political. And we chuck the one decision that should be genuinely science based - whether or not to vaccinate children - to the politicians. WTAF.

Personally, I don't believe that vaccinating teenagers is necessary. Others will have their own views and I respect that, but I can't support it. Boosters for the most vulnerable here and abroad, if they choose, would be a better use of our time and effort.

This tax isn’t about the environment. It’s about the Welsh Gov putting more money into its coffers. If they cared about the environment they would: 🛑Tackle corporate river pollution 🛑Not own an airport 🛑Clean up Welsh metal mines But they won’t. bbc.com/news/uk-wales-584242…

Brexit voters I spoke to up and down the country wanted change to the peanuts they were getting for hard labour jobs. So glad they are finally being rewarded. EU wants to expand with more poorer states and cheap wld have kept coming. It’s time to back our domestic work force.

The EU mantra is "Ever Closer Union", hence the push to develop their Eurocorps into an EU army When this happens, public opinion will start to shift in the neutral countries: Eire, Sweden, Austria, Finland & Malta. Some will reconsider their EU membership xitter.cf/JosepBorrellF/status/1…
Discussing consequences of events in Afghanistan and lessons learnt for EU operational engagement, one thing is clear: we need to increase our capacity to act autonomously when and where necessary. europa.eu/!4pQxvt

30K + waiting to do their HGV tests and this is the result of short term thinking from government. Time to ramp up getting out people to work and stop any talk of bringing in cheap labour or Brexit blaming. This one is squarely on government
