The air is getting drier and nose bleed season is around the corner. I used to have chronic nose bleeds all winter but no longer do since switching to a low linoleic acid diet(also less congestion and quicker recovery from respiratory infection).
Something to try if you relate
Another raw milk nuance post:
“EnJoY tHe ListEria” is a common response to posts advocating for raw milk. Of the possible contaminants in dairy, Listeria cases are much more severe than those from Campylobacter or Salmonella.
The irony is that Listeria is actually more of a pasteurized dairy issue than a raw dairy one. Why?
Listeria is more common in milk than you probably think, albeit at low levels that are harmless to the average person. Raw dairy has naturally occurring competitive flora that consume the resources Listeria needs to thrive. Pasteurization destroys essentially all bacteria, including Listeria.
But unlike other types of bacteria, Listeria can thrive and multiply at refrigeration temps. Once pasteurization eliminates the competition, pasteurized dairy becomes uniquely vulnerable: any small amount introduced afterward can multiply rapidly.
This is also why I stopped buying raw in bulk and freezing it. Freezing reduces the strength of competitive flora, while Listeria is essentially freeze-resistant.
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but the difficulty and consequences baked into Fromsoft games are a big reason why they are so rewarding to play(and complete).
This isn’t to cast any shade on PBZ btw(I haven’t played it) but just my reaction to the philosophy of the devs for it
The creators of Phantom Blade Zero don’t want players to suffer like they do in Dark Souls. According to the head of S-Game, life is already hard enough without having to struggle in video games too.
The developers have tried to eliminate unnecessary frustration while keeping combat spectacular and intense:
Death carries no major penalties.
Defeated enemies do not respawn.
Boss fights feature checkpoints between phases, so players won’t have to restart the entire battle.
Three difficulty settings are available: Easy, Normal, and Hard.
A permadeath mode unlocks after completing the game.
“We want as many people as possible to have fun, relax, and enjoy the game. And for those seeking a challenge, we’ll offer an extra dose of adrenaline.”
The core philosophy behind Phantom Blade Zero is to make players feel incredibly powerful rather than punish them for every mistake.

Cholesterol is protective, not something to avoid
@trikomes had Uffe Ravnskov, who researched cholesterol and the lipid hypothesis for the past 37 years, on his podcast a while back. A must listen imo
