Well. We shall see what Adrian says - I hope this is misreporting. But can we be clear that there is no contradiction between speaking out for human rights and for nature. Why on earth would environmentalists tolerate genocide? Humans being nature after all! People and planet. Both.
🚨 NEW: Green MP Adrian Ramsay will go public on Sunday to criticise Zack Polanski's leadership and claim the party been taken over by pro-Palestinian activists who have replaced its environmental values

we are now living in the Orwellian era of the thought crime, meanwhile the government admits it hasn’t tracked which UK citizens have served in the IDF over last 3yrs who could have witnessed or committed warcrimes.
The BBC interviewer asks Malm if he was "planning on expressing support for Palestine Action" -- I'm sorry, EVEN IF THAT WAS THE CASE, and we accept the law as it is, then are we denying entry for "imagined crime that might happen" – are we living in minority report?

Banning Andreas Malm makes perfect sense for the Burnham administration. He’s a leading climate scholar and a Palestine activist. In other words, he represents the two forces Burnham’s government is determined to crush: climate resistance and solidarity with Palestine.

It’s wildly jarring to see media commentary about an election about Israel’s ‘soul’ from a locked down West Bank where Israeli army closures have sealed off towns and villages, settlers roam freely and terrorise Palestinians, schools are shut, commerce choked, and roads blocked.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work. My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Zero mention of climate in a budget balanced on future tax receipts from unapproved oil drilling. Plenty of praise for bankers, but a broken pledge to equalise the minimum wage for young people. A budget that betrays the future for young people and the planet they inherit.

Thread if you’re genuinely curious how we got into this current mess and which pretend ally has their grubby little fingers all over it.

it’s always a fun watch when a Tory MP comes up against an actual economics expert.
“What I find very difficult… is the assumption you have to cut your way to be being fiscally responsible” “There’s not a hope in hell that [Labour] are going to oversee any cuts to public spending” Economics professor Mariana Mazzucato and Conservative MP Julia Lopez debate Chancellor John Healey’s spending plans. #Newsnight

Exclusive: Nigel Farage's "physical altercation" during the State Opening of Parliament was with the Lib Dem MP Caroline Voaden - and has caused an major row between Reform and the Lib Dems. Lib Dem sources say Voaden was left "shocked and shaken" after he "shoved" her to secure a place in the procession of MPs to the King's Speech. Video from the Commons Chamber that day shows Farage and Voaden making their way down from their benches together. Voaden reported the incident to the Serjeant at Arms and says Farage was asked to apologise - but hasn't. A Reform spokesman denies any wrongdoing by Farage, saying "it was the Lib Dem MPs being aggressive towards Nigel". Lib Dems say that is "utter nonsense" Farage said yesterday that the "physical altercation" was the reason he didn't put up a fight to be in the Chamber for the Budget after his prayer card to save a space was removed. He said he thought that after the row with Voaden, it was "better to avoid conflict". But in a further twist, a Commons spokesman says Farage's card was only removed because it didn't have a date stamp, which are required to reserve a spot. the @ZackPolanski never talks about climate folks strangely have nothing to say about this but I’m sure he’ll have plenty to say about it.
The day after the Chancellor never mentions climate once in his speech - Shell announces profits of over £8,000,000,000.

A bit bizarre that only two weeks after piling up on the Greens for saying zionism is racism every mainstream commentator is lamenting that the only thing preventing a Netanyahu defeat is the unfortunate fact that … zionism is racism

If Israel wasn’t a Jewish supremacist society [“Zionist] then all the headlines today would be that Netanyahu lost and that a strong Jewish-Arab government in Israel that champions democracy and personal security can place a way forward

nothing sums up British journalism more than the fact the hack who broke the Plagiarism story was literally nominated for a journalism award the very week he was cleared for the 4TH !! time.
#YourVoiceMatters #JasonArday has been cleared of plagiarism for a fourth time. Why is the media silent about it? As another investigation ends without substantiating plagiarism claims, @richardsudan asks who will hold the British media accountable for its treatment of the pioneering Black academic?👇🏿 voice-online.co.uk/opinion/c… @aljhlester @SholaMos1 @misanharriman @BellRibeiroAddy @GoodLawProject

Today’s budget looks like being worse for our future and the young than even anything Starmer came up with. A budget based on approval of mass new oil drilling is a betrayal of our future.
EXCL: The giant Rosebank oilfield can be approved without breaching the UK’s emission targets, according to government insiders, in a boost to those in the cabinet who are pushing for it to be given the go-ahead. Sources also say the Treasury has already accounted for billions of pounds’ worth of tax revenue from Rosebank and so would be faced with a shortfall should it be rejected.
