Today they (creator support) said that there's no invalid traffic on my channel and there was no invalid traffic before either. When I asked them why my RPM dropped and is still low they simply just copy pasted all the articles about RPM. @TeamYouTube @YouTubeLiaison

It's been a real rough month for me mentally. Maybe if someone at YouTube could look at the Invalid Traffic notice on my channel and stop limiting ads, I might be able to sleep at night and not work weekends.

Those who are affected by YouTube's invalid traffic bug, is your channel fixed? And revenue/rpm went back to normal?

So YouTube magically fixed the invalid traffic in the same day for all those channels that raised their voices and posted videos, i saw a small spike but it was nothing, so basically i have to do nothing and wait until you want to fix my channel? @TeamYouTube

How would you feel if you lost $20k last month? Well, this is happening on YouTube to creators right now with the “Invalid traffic issue.” If you don't know what it is, it's basically when your views are considered “bots,” so YouTube pays out no ad revenue. The thing is, every day I get messages from people who have had all their ad revenue taken away because of this, and there’s almost nothing they can do. Some have had to shut down their channels as their entire income vanished. This is why it is so important to create a following off-platform, like on Twitter, Instagram, and email, so that you can diversify your risk. BUT it’s also another reason you MUST find other ways to monetize outside of ad revenue. Im sorry if this has happened to you, I hope it ends up being a blessing in disguise like it has been for a few other creators I've spoken to.

Do you love your independent content creators on YouTube? Are any of them affected by the #invalidtraffic débâcle and losing money? How about ALL premium subscribers cancel their subscriptions RIGHT NOW just so YT knows what it’s like to have its revenue slashed? #solidarity

I'm tired of waiting for @YouTubeCreators to fix this invalid traffic bug. Going back to editing and leaving everything up to fate. If it is fixed within the next month, great. Otherwise, I will leave the platform #invalidtraffic

Well, Automate Your Life has been hit with what @YouTubeCreators calls Invalid Traffic. It has the opportunity to drop our revenue 80-90% on platform…based on other creator’s statements. There’s no stated reason why, there’s no explanation of what we did, and there’s no stated timeline as to when things will “go back”. The help document states that it might be our fault and it might not be. It states that it could be a few things, but we don’t engage in any activity stated in the document. So our “business partner” is taking massive amounts of revenue for a reason we don’t know and for an indeterminate time. Sounds right? @YouTubeLiaison

One question that really has Creators worried, @TeamYouTube, is that if invalid traffic includes things such as third party, purchased views & fake engagement, what stops anyone from going to Fiverr, spending a few bucks and launching weaponized attacks on Creators? Attacks which could potentially cost us 80% or more of our typical revenue in decreased ad placement? Decreases we’ve already seen Creators suffer through for months with what is currently available for support? Furthermore, if we are somehow able to find resolution, what protects us from someone doing it again?

Do you know what's going on? @reneritchie @hitsman I'm curious when this will be heard. They say it has affected 160 creators already. teapawt.org/PNUKcom/status/1703356…

Day 18 of demonisation - absolutely convinced the algorithm couldn’t detect a rise in genuine views from collaborations and flagged it as invalid traffic. I had zero warnings or banners. They waited until just after midnight on august 31st and kicked me off the programme I guess to start a clean slate on the calculations. Hoping the reversal is imminent as it feels illegal to take someone’s livelihood away overnight after 11 years creating with no channel strikes. @YouTubeLiaison @TeamYouTube please help the people affected. Even if it’s not a bug there is something definitely amiss here.

Dear @TeamYouTube, We understand that you're dealing with Invalid Traffic from a variety of sources, and we realize it's no small problem for you, the advertisers you do business with and the greater Creator economy. We understand that we may often become frustrated and often don't always ask the right questions when problems arise. We also understand that YouTube is a place we think of as home because of all the wonderful things you've provided us over the years and continue to provide. We further understand the reason why you might be limiting ads on content when your systems detect invalid traffic on the platform. We even understand why you're being so tight-lipped about what you're doing behind the scenes to mitigate Invalid Traffic issues because we know you're trying to maintain the integrity of your Invalid Activity Detection System in attempts to prevent people from circumventing the system. What we don't understand is why you've left us seemingly in the dark. We don't understand why, without notice, you would twist the spigot and shut off Ad placement even on legitimate, organic views and diminish a Creator's total revenue by 80% with no clear answers as to how long Creators will have to survive on a fraction of our typical earnings. Links to your support pages that don't give us any real answers to our questions are not enough. We are real people, with real families, real employees, real mortgages and real financial commitments. We are Creators with communities we've worked hard to build on YouTube in order to provide the very revenue that sustains these things. Communities who spend time on the YouTube platform, enjoying our content & engaging with your advertisers. We are the very people who have made YouTube the success that it is right alongside you. We are, by your own word choice, your YouTube Partners and we are in crisis. Imagine you, @YouTube, suddenly finding that 80% of your entire platform revenue was instantly & indefinitely removed with no clear answers as to how and when it would ever come back, if at all. Wouldn't that put you into crisis mode as well...? We have been as patient as possible up to this point but this issue dates back years for Creators we all know personally, and from our standpoint, it only seems to be escalating. Suddenly, we see many more Creators who've had access to their AdSense accounts suspended (and subsequently YPP monetization removed entirely) through no fault of their own. There is a simple answer here. We need transparency. We want to know what the endgame is. We want to know that there are changes currently being made that will put an end to this plight for well-intentioned Creators who have been hit with Invalid Traffic notifications due to external forces and no misdeeds of their own. We want to know that strategies, tools and support are being built to protect your YouTube partners as well as your advertisers. We want to know what those changes might be and when they will take effect. We want to know that you're developing a well-trained support team specifically to help Creators who've had their AdSense accounts and monetization suspended or impacted. It only works when we're all in this together. We await your reply.  With heartfelt respect, -Your YouTube Partners ☮️

The Learn Electronics Repair YouTube channel, whose honest creator has uploaded 500+ educational videos about learning how to repair electronics, has been unfairly penalized by the "invalid traffic" problem. YouTube did this to him. Devastating. Wrong. youtube.com/watch?v=w88SvGfB…

The r/PartneredYoutube reddit is FULL of people suffering from invalid traffic and many of them are not even getting their adsense accounts shut down. @Youtube NEEDS to fix their crap. I want my monetization back and apparently this problem is platform wide. @YouTubeCreators

Those dealing with invalid traffic, Colin and Samir will be having a sit town next week with the YouTube CEO. This is your chance to have a strong voice in the community ask a hard question. You just need to tell them it’s what you want to hear in the tweet below.
Recording an Interview with YouTube CEO @nealmohan next week If you could ask him anything, what would you want to know? 👇🏼👇🏾

YouTube is still failing its Creators who are impacted by invalid traffic. We've been policy compliant for 5+ or even 10+ years and YouTube doesn't care. Please answer these questions for me, @nealmohan @YouTubeLiaison @TeamYouTube @YouTubeCreators @mortms @scottsilver @AdSense
