@ScotRail could you thank the conductor who handed in my husband’s bag this afternoon at Glasgow Central. Absolutely life saving, glasses, keys, euros & precious Spanish ham he was carrying back from Spain ;) He’s not even sure if it was the 14:26 or 14:42 train. Many thanks.

🚶 Do you use our station escalators? Here are three tips for using them safely, particularly when travelling with kids. 🟢 Hold tight 🟢 Stay away from the sides 🟢 Big step off 👀 Always supervise children on the escalators.

Travel via Glasgow Central low-level? @NetworkRailSCOT will close the line on the weekends of 24/25 Oct and 31 Oct/1 Nov to carry out essential track work. While that's going on, we'll use the opportunity to repair lighting and wall panelling in the low-level station. @ScotRail

📣 £1.7m improvements planned for the Argyle Line and Glasgow Central Low Level. We'll carry out essential work across two weekends later this month to help keep trains running reliably. 📅 It means no @ScotRail between Partick and Rutherglen on 24/25/31 Oct and 1 Nov.

Our teams are getting ready now, making sure pumps are active in areas known to flood, and we’ll have teams standing by at key locations too. With autumn well underway, our leaf-busting trains and teams continue to be out across Scotland’s Railway around-the-clock. 5/5

We're looking at whether we may need to put in place speed restrictions in some areas from tomorrow (Wednesday) night around 19:00. This'll slow trains down to help keep everyone safe during the worst of the rainfall. When we have confirmation, we’ll let you know. 3/5

We expect a slow-moving band of rain to bring very high rainfall across the West Highlands and the south-west. At Saltcoats and Craigendoran, we may see waves crashing over the sea walls around high-tide (15:00 Wed). We'll have teams there on standby 2/5 📽️ Saltcoats, Dec 2025

It’s a busy one for passenger assistance at Glasgow Central today, with over 100 assists booked in and fewer staff available than usual. This means there may be a bit of a wait for assistance, so please bear with us while our staff do their best to help everyone! 🤝 @ScotRail
