🚁 Our Air Operations team are the eyes in the sky.
Using thermal imaging on our helicopter, we identified an overheating overhead wire component near Uddingston on the West Coast Main Line. This meant we could intervene and fix it before it could disrupt your journey.

An £8m project to install a crossover, which lets trains swap tracks, at Dalwhinnine on the Highland Main Line is underway. It’ll mean northbound trains can use P1, improving accessibility. It’ll boost flexibility for freight trains on the busy route too.

Sadly, a person has been struck by a train between Slateford and Kirknewton. We're responding, alongside the emergency services.
Services between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central/Carstairs are being disrupted. More soon.

The West Highland Line will close for 9 days in November while we carry out £13m of upgrades to help keep this iconic route safe and reliable. 🚆 🛠️

🚦 We're responding to a signal fault at Kilwinning station which is affecting services between @NetworkRailGLC and Ayrshire (Ayr, Largs and Ardrossan).

Good news at Kilwinning. We've identified the problem and @ScotRail services are now returning to normal.

Our signalling engineers are due to arrive at Kilwinning shortly, and they'll work to identify and fix the fault as quickly as possible. We're working with @ScotRail to manage train services around the fault where we can.

We'll be carrying out £1.7m of essential work across Glasgow's Argyle line and Central low-level station over two weekends later this month to help keep trains running reliably.
Work will take place on 24 and 25 Oct and on 31 Oct and 1 Nov.
