Good luck to everyone receiving results tomorrow. Remember that whilst they are important they are not life defining. Your true value is not measured in exam results but in your generosity of spirit and ability to love. In that you’re all A*.

We welcomed students to the library and talked about 'What makes a good book?' The bell signalled the end of lessons far too early, and the conversation could have go on for hours. Thank you @NewHallEng for bringing your students in! Here are some great ideas from @HeathBooks 📚
📚♥️What makes you choose one #classread over another? There just seems to be choices in abundance & sadly not enough time to read them all. Below are some picks from us for Year 9(ish, it's a bit flexible isn't it)♥️📚* has teacher resources

I remember reading this for the first time and I still have my original copy of her diary. I still use it in discussions with students , not just around HMD but throughout the year. Her diary is so important.
This week we are asking, what does Anne Frank's Diary mean to you? In celebration of 75 years since Anne’s diary was first published, young people we work with have been thinking about what Anne’s diary means to them #AnneFrankDiary75 What does it mean to you?

We were having a discussion about the power of poetry and a student recommended this one. Read it downwards and then read it back upwards. #lovepoetry @NewHallEng
