I showcase 2 new modules in Mela 7.17:
Pitch Reader and Frequency Offset.
Pitch Reader displays Pitch signal information, including the exact frequency, MIDI note name, and detune amount.
Frequency Offset can be used instead of Relative Pitch when you want 2 detuned oscillators to beat at the same rate across the keyboard.
Make it taller and get rid of the vertical toolbar nonsense
The best approach for Mela on Duo would be to hide the status bar and use corner-aware layout APIs to maximise screen real estate.
Luckily, I'll be dropping support for iOS 18 in v8, as these API require 26+.
I was very excited when the iPhone Duo was announced. But after trying to adapt Mela's UI for it, I realised Apple's current layout design is a mistake. The system-reserved areas are very different from other iOS devices.
Take the status bar, for example. It's in an awkward place, taking up too much real estate. Apple should ditch this side-toolbar, dock and status bar approach and redesign it to be closer to existing layouts.

I highlight some of what's new in Mela 7.16, focusing on the new One Pole and Macro-8 modules. One Pole works great as a crossover filter when combined with the Splitter module. Macro-8 lets you create up to 8 Macro parameters using a single module.
