Less than one week away from opening tip. Excited to get back to analysis and making the NJIT name known with a roster that features both minutes retained and fresh faces looking to make an immediate impact with a tough out of conference schedule to prep for conference play.

Caris LeVert is presumably the only college basketball player to ever play in a national title game and lose to NJIT in the same college career for the same team.

Former NJIT all conference player Ari Fulton will transfer to St. Bonaventure. Interesting move for sure but I expect him to have a huge role for the Bonnies. Woj must’ve been all over this one when he saw Fulton still in the portal.

Mario Tatum Jr was the first to commit. He spent last season at VMI. As a freshman he averaged 8.5ppg and 2.0rpg. The 6’3 guard from Maryland will bring some great size to the backcourt.

On the bright side, America East Rookie of the Year David Bolden will be returning next year for the highlanders. This was crucial for Coach Grant to be able to retain NJIT’s second conference rookie of the year in the last 3 season. Bolden will be the focal point of the offense
