alright, after opening 1100+ chests and finally getting the token, here's my exact process on how i kept opening chests:
- equip the fortune plundarrgh sprite which reveals nearby chest locations and grants increased movement speed when you open a chest. very useful!

Something to note:
If you play with someone that has already received something like the G-Wagon or the One Piece (shop token), they CANNOT help you obtain them since they already received it and thus their chest opening activities will not help you for the rewards they already received that you have not.

Nintendo is out here worrying if 27 GB is small enough for people to fit their game onto their console's storage, while other AAA companies feel like they're entitled to over 200 GB or more in most cases for their fuck ass games that don't even work.

While I do think introducing a 1/700,000 chance item that grants you free Item Shops for four weeks as somewhat predatory for player engagement, in an attempt to keep people away from GTA VI, I will say that it's rather impressive they did something like that.

PLEASE sacrifice IRL stuff over it. Your friends, family, education, work and other commitments are worth less than opening chests for 6+ hours per day

CHEST REWARDS ARE LIKELY SBMM BASED
You are more likely to get chest rewards by not only playing Squad Fills, but also if the SBMM is on the LOWER END
This is so that returning players / new players / more casual players that don't play BR often, have chances to get it.

The team is still searching for the right publishing and distribution partner, and hopes to get it into collectors’ hands in 2027.

The format and regional availability are still to be announced, but it’s reassuring to hear that the physical edition remains firmly in their plans.
Of the indies still waiting for a physical release, this is one I’m especially excited to play. I’ve heard so many great things, but I’m saving my first playthrough for when I can get a physical copy. 💚
