I discussed with President of the Storting @MasudGh and the leaders of all Norwegian political parties the decisions that can support Ukraine now, as Russia strikes our country virtually every hour. In particular, we discussed financial assistance and the shortfall in our defense budget. Alongside support from the European Union, assistance from non-EU countries that support us bilaterally is also important, and Norway is ready to help.
We also discussed the Ukrainian children abducted by Russia and our work to bring them home. Together, we can certainly do more. Thank you!
Norway is among the leaders in assistance to Ukraine. We are very grateful to the parliamentarians, the government and all the people of Norway for such unity around Ukraine and for supporting our people at every level.

Of course, we are not losing this war. But we are losing people. Because of the Russian attacks, we're losing people and time. It's such a pity, because our children don't have a real life and childhood. Not only children, but all people. That's why we need to end this war as quickly as possible. I hope that our partners, Americans and Europeans, will help us. God bless, our strong soldiers stay strong on the battlefield. It helps me stay strong during any kind of negotiations.

Today, we had important talks with our American partners and with our other partners from Europe. Steve Witkoff was also here with us in Oslo, and Jared Kushner joined us online.
Ukraine immediately supported American proposal for an energy ceasefire. But Russia responded by continuing its attacks. We offered different options. We are ready not to hit sensitive parts of Russia’s energy sector if Russia stops hitting ours. Putin said no. But we’re working to find a solution.
We have some clear ideas on how to get to peace. And we are united with our European partners in this effort, and we want the Americans to take these ideas to the Russians. One of the important ideas is to move to a potential trilateral meeting of the leaders to address the issues that only the leaders can do.
Steve is going to Russia tomorrow. Let’s see what Putin has to say.
Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine and stands for peace.

Talks have begun between Ukraine and the US delegation headed by Witkoff.
Norwegian Prime Minister and Finnish President are also participating, which i personally hope, will force Americans to remain reasonable. At least somewhat.

I completely agree, @andrii_sybiha. Good to talk to you today.
It’s time for stepping up the pressure on Russia, strengthening support for Ukraine, and work closely together among all who realise that the outcome of this war will define Europe’s security for decades to come.
Following yesterday's counterproductive developments, today was a day of active diplomacy for Ukraine.
President @ZelenskyyUa has been holding nonstop talks with leaders of partner countries throughout the day.
At my level, I held conversations with my counterparts from the United Kingdom @Ed_Miliband, Germany @AussenMinDE, and Norway @EspenBarthEide.
Our partners' support remains unwavering.
We discussed not only how to maintain but also how to increase pressure on the Russian war machine. We also agreed on the schedule of our upcoming contacts.
Russian terror does not stop for a single hour. Russian bombs, missiles, and drones keep hitting our cities, killing innocent civilians, including children. Almost 100 people have been killed in just one week.
This is not the time for weakness.
Next week must become a week of European strength, resolve, and increased pressure on Moscow. Together, we can end Putin's celebrations and hit his economy and military-industrial complex with full force.
I am grateful to all of our partners who share this cause for the sake of our indivisible security and a sooner peace.

Today I discussed new efforts to meet Ukraine’s urgent needs with President Zelenskyy. Main priority: air defense and protecting civilians and critical infrastructure. Norway will continue to stand with Ukraine.

I am appalled by reports from Kramatorsk, where at least 30 people were killed when a Russian bomb struck public buses. This follows deadly Russian attacks on homes in Kyiv and Pryluky, with children among those killed. Attacks on civilians are unacceptable. We @StandWithUkraine.

I deeply regret that the US threatens to impose new sanctions on the International Criminal Court.

I joined FM @andrii_sybiha, @kajakallas & FM @jnbarrot & several FM colleagues ahead of the #UNSC meeting on 🇺🇦 today.
We called on #Russia to stop its aggression, accept a ceasefire, and engage meaningfully in negotiations.
Ukraine agreed to a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire in March 2025. 51 UN member states call on Russia to finally do the same.
They have issued a joint statement in support of Ukraine.
"We stand in solidarity with Ukraine as it continues to face Russia’s war of aggression," the statement says.
The partner countries called for protecting freedom of navigation in the Black Sea, commercial shipping and critical infrastructure, and safeguarding Ukrainian grain exports and global food security. They also called on Russia to immediately return all arbitrarily detained, forcibly transferred or deported Ukrainian civilians, including children, as well as all prisoners of war and internees.
"Ukraine wants peace. We want peace. Russia must stop its aggression, accept a ceasefire, and engage meaningfully in negotiations towards a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in accordance with international law," they stressed.
We thank all partner countries for their strong support and solidarity with Ukraine.
