Built a macOS Neovim GUI over a weekend. Shipped v0.2.0 on March 30 because no Neovim GUI had MacVim-style multi-window. Turns out Neovide shipped the same feature one day later. Fun timing.

The contributor covenant, and other CoCs like it, turned out to be a trojan horse. Every open source project would do right to reject or revert it. Here's the beautiful replacement that Matz put in place for Ruby when they came for him with this bullshit (we borrowed it).
Drew DeVault — known for calls to sabotage government agencies, and for developing software to catalogue child pornography — created an issue on the Omarchy Linux GitHub:
“Have you considered adding a code of conduct for this project, and establishing processes for dealing with toxic behavior? The contributor covenant is a useful place to start.”
The Omarchy contributors and users told DeVault to “get bent”.

Shopify’s egress processed 145 billion requests on Friday. App servers handled peak of ~60 million requests per minute. Increase of 38%. Total GMV was $4.1b, up by 22% from last year.

Rails is the Radiohead of software frameworks.
Think about it: Radiohead's been a well-known band since the mid-90s[1], but they’re not just rocking their first few hits. They've moved from alt-rock to electronic and beyond, always pushing the sonic envelope.
Similarly, Rails has that core MVC structure it's always leaned on, but with each version, it finds a way to incorporate new tech trends without losing its soul.
Put on any Radiohead song from their discography; it might sound a bit different, but it feels like Radiohead.
Open up any Rails app from the last two decades; there are some different approaches and tools, yet it still looks and feels like a Rails app.
