Decades before Critical Mass there was the Sarasota Mobile Home Park Bicycle Club, founded in Florida in 1940. Club members held group rides in mixed traffic, devising techniques – such as stopping motorists to keep the cyclists together – later associated with Critical Mass.

A really beautiful new trail bridge has been completed to provide access to Diamond Creek Falls in @willametteNF southeast of Oakridge. The old bridge was ... pretty sketchy: tinyurl.com/mwfw4yhz

Why do we have sidewalk ramps that don't go in the same direction as the sidewalk? Who is this for? The amount of anxiety induced each time I try to help a 3 y.o. on a bike navigate these things while cars go 2x the speed limit inches away is insane.
Who fixes this?

They say there isn’t room for safe, protected bike-lanes. They say there isn’t room for shade-creating, air cleaning street trees. Montreal shows that when you change your space priorities, you get better streets for EVERYONE. HT @DaveLikesBikes for video

How students get to school is a critical part of a successful school day. Why not make it the best experience possible focused on physical activity, friends, community & joy. The #BikeBus creates a child focused experience that sets students up to dominate their school day.

So many great ways for cities to enhance e-bike safety: Redesigning intersections, expanding bike lanes, creating car-free areas...
Vilifying e-bikes and limiting their use is lazy victim-blaming.

(2/2) Thank you to all of our members and others in the community for speaking up for the birds. We are also grateful to the communities in the Klamath Watershed for advocating for water for the refuges. We’ll continue to keep you updated as the situation progresses. Stay tuned.

Update! We received notice that 5-10K acre feet of water was delivered to Tule Lake & Lower Klamath NWR on Aug. 17. Though this isn't enough in the long-term, it should help get the hundreds of young waterfowl & waterbirds hatched at the refuges this year to fledging. 1/2

It was 1976 when George Harrison of The Beatles and Paul Simon took the stage together at Saturday Night Live.
The song was born in 1964 when Paul Simon wrote it after coming back to England. Here in this performance, Harrison and Simon grabs their acoustics and perform the song together.
Such a great, live, and beautiful footage of legends.
Please enjoy.
