Success is not a moment in time or an end of a game. It’s a way of life. It includes an inevitable failure but it’s defined by getting back up when it’s hardest, when no one else thinks you’re worth it but you ignore them to the point of determination. It’s our Oklahoma culture.
Oklahoma is—and must maintain—an elite-level program built on winning. Top-dollar salaries come with top-tier expectations, and performance requirements —period. But changing offensive coordinators is a single step, not a complete solution. This has become a structural standard issue, not just a one-man problem.
More changes are required. Let's keep the pressure high, keep our expectations clear, and hold the entire program accountable to the Sooner standard.
While this is the cold reality of the sport we support, let’s also use this move to reset. It’s an opportunity to moderate any emotional frustration and unify as a clear-headed fanbase. That, too, is the Oklahoma standard.
Head ’em up, move ’em out, we’re burning daylight y’all.
Today is not the day to send me a text to confirm my dental cleaning appointment on Wednesday —for the second time.
Typical FBS Scoring —

Offensive points this season (excluding UTEP game):
• 10
• 14
• 13
• 13
• 13
• 23
• 18
That’s averaging less than 15 points per game. You’re watching the worst Oklahoma offense since radio was invented.
To feel drained is human.
Wanting change now is holding this program to its highest standard.
I have yet to hear one Sooner tell me it’s ok as is, but things are going to get uglier—yes, even uglier.
Before it can get better, we’ll be asked to give more, and yes, we absolutely need to see real change.
So scream it into existence. But circle the wagons, respect the process, respect everyone and let’s protect our entire championship pedigree.

Hearing about this team and their performance during fall ball, especially the freshmen, makes me happy.

Post-loss interview:
“I’m not talking about anything like that.”
“I’m not ready to say anything like that.”
What might this mean? Here’s what Gemini says:
• Is a decision already made, but the timing is being managed?
• Are they waiting for the Monday morning AD meeting?
• Is the head coach delaying the answer because they don't actually have sole authority to fire a high-priced coordinator without Athletic Director or Board approval?
• Is there a buyout or contract clause triggering the delay?
• Are school lawyers or HR working through termination agreements or mitigation clauses before any public statement can be made?
• Is the coach protecting their assistants—or saving themselves?
• Is the head coach actually the one on the hot seat?
• How does this non-answer impact the locker room and portal?
• Does this hurt active recruiting commitments?
Band at half time, Sooners behind 10 to 28, playing Ghost Busters ‘Who you gonna call?’
You tell me Sooner Nation —who do we call?
They’ve got 35 million people.
We’ve got 4.
They’ll always have more money. We’ve always had more fight.
USC outspent us, hired a coach from Muleshoe, and still had to write Oklahoma a $35 million check just to walk out the door. Call us Broklahoma.
We don’t care.
This program doesn’t run on cash alone. It runs on the beast. And the only way to feed it is grit, toughness, and sticking together when everything says we shouldn’t.
We’ve been knocked down before. We’ve never stayed down. We’ll be on top again.
Because that’s what we do.
The strongest case for Brent Venables is that he stepped up and took over a program Lincoln Riley left in rubble. But what is that debt of gratitude worth, and at what point has the program fully repaid it? That’s the real conflict dividing Sooner fans. It’s a genuinely complex situation, and honest fans can look at the exact same facts and come away with completely different conclusions.
But here is one thing we can all agree on: We were right about Lincoln. He was just an ungrateful carpetbagger from Muleshoe.
Brent Venables will outlast Lincoln Riley after replacing him, which proves location mattered in Riley finding success.
