Every time JUCO football comes up in Maricopa County, the conversation dies on two claims. Taxpayers foot the bill. And there's no money without the legislature.
Both are checkable. The district just approved $20M in new spending in a single night.
Here's the whole file, including the numbers that cut against. – at Anthem, AZ
🏈 BRING BACK JUCO FOOTBALL TO ARIZONA! 🏈
Vote for the 3 Maricopa County Community College Board candidates this November who are committed to bringing back Junior College football!
The opportunities given to young men out of high school to continue playing football while earning an education are priceless. Glendale Community College (GCC) completely changed my life. Without it, there is no way I would be where I am today, and the same goes for so many of my teammates and former players.
We need to bring these life-changing programs back for the next generation of student-athletes.

Central Michigan has 15 offensive linemen listed as seniors or grad students.
Out of 25 in the room.
Nobody publishes this and I do not know why. Everyone ranks recruits. Nobody tells a family which programs are about to have a hole where their kid plays.

This is the drive chart.
Every school your son contacts moves down a football field. First email puts them on the twenty. A reply moves them. A camp invite moves them again. An offer is the end zone.
He can see, at a glance, which schools have gone quiet on him.

Camp started this week. Your son's season starts in about two weeks.
If you are a parent who never played, here is the only part of the recruiting calendar you actually need to understand.

Mom and Dad: Do you need help?
You may be an accountant, an attorney, or anything else. Your son is a junior, or senior.
Somebody at the game Friday night told you he should "be reaching out to schools" and you nodded like you knew what that meant.
You didn't. That is not a failing.

My own Eval told a 6'1" 330 pound offensive lineman he was a reach at every level. Including NJCAA.
He is a starting college lineman right now.
Here is what was broken.

Hot take: the recruiting industry sells D1 dreams because D1 is the only dream families will pay to chase.
Nobody cuts a $4,000 check to get recruited at D2.
But the median FCS wide receiver is 6'0", 188 lbs.
The median D2 wide receiver is 6'0", 184 lbs.
Four pounds separates those two levels. I measured 6,900+ of them.
The coaches at both levels are real. The scholarships are real. The difference is whether anyone told your family to look.

Nobody tells a QB family the hard part.
It is not whether he can throw it. It is that the roster ahead of him was built two years before he showed up.
The kids who figure that out early stop chasing logos and start reading depth charts. Those are the ones who end up playing.
Hot take: the position that families most misjudge is QB.
Not because parents overestimate arm talent. Because they underestimate how many programs already have one.

9,955 families have run the Eval.
Four days.
Number 10,000 will run it today!
Last night I presented in front of a room of high school families and watched 84 of them pull their phones out and run their kid's numbers on the spot. Most had never seen where their son actually measures up against real rosters, not opinions.

The full plan is $79 once. Code FOUNDING59 makes it $59 while founding spots last.

"He can always play D3."
The median D3 offensive lineman is 6'2", 275 lbs. I measured 2,651 of them.
The whole ladder:
FBS: 6'4", 305 lbs.
FCS: 6'4", 295 lbs.
D2: 6'3", 290 lbs.
D3: 6'2", 275 lbs.
NAIA: 6'2", 285 lbs.
Not my opinion, I actually measured 8,101 linemen. (The NAIA median outweighs the D3 median, by the way.)
Where does your kid actually fit?

One of the 4,069. Not one of the 8. Recommended it anyway.
His son's real recruiting matched all three bands. FBS stalling, FCS engaging, D3 assuming they'd lose him.
That last one fools families constantly: it looks like disinterest, but it's coaches triaging kids they don't think they can get.

The full plan is $79 when the numbers say it's time.
Code FOUNDING59 makes it $59 for the first 100 families.
