End of the road!
As I said before, this was a three-and-a-half year project I’m very proud of and I’m so glad it came together as well as it did. Thank you to @OpentheDorman for being just the best cohost ever.
Please do listen!
FINAL EP!
In our epilogue, we look back on the 75 episodes we have produced and glean at insights we have made since we started. In addition, we look at the cutting room floor and select our favorite unbuilt ideas! linktr.ee/unbuiltpod

And remember we can never ever ever age them bc he thinks expanding upon these traits is wholly uninteresting for some bizarre reason
Brad Bird explains that each person's powers in ‘THE INCREDIBLES’ represents an average family unit.
“Fathers are expected to be strong, so I made him super strong.
Mothers are pulled in ten directions at once, so she stretches.
Teenagers are insecure & defensive so she can turn invisible & has force fields.
10-year old boys are energy balls that just go until they pass out.
Babies are unknowns, they could be the next leader of the free world or they could be a bag man, you don’t know.”

These are like, my two hyperfixations colliding rn and if you know me I'm a massive, gigantic Simpsons snob who is very discerning to the current show. I can't see how this won't be insanely toothless and lame, I'm sorry. I know it's catnip to y'all but meh.
Just for a second: so the Kosmic Kruiser is Krustyland, but all of the branding for this relates to Itchy and Scratchy, so this should be at Itchy and Scratchy Land. Yet now Krustyland has taken over as the defacto Simpsons theme park, but I don't recall any I&S stuff before?
And I also don't believe it's altogether very edgy or gets "disney's ass". SWGS was a wholly Chapek invention, shut down by Bob Iger and derided by the current Disney brass. It no longer represents them. There's nothing transgressive or cutting about it.
This is kind of wild. I never went (not a waterpark fan) but they actually bought the competing Summerlin water park bc the Henderson one was more beloved. It always looked far more charming and unique, but small. Wonder if they’ll port any slides over. ktnv.com/news/hendersons-cow…
Paramount bots just scalped two episodes of Unbuilt today. That’s fine, Spotify. Your reign of terror over my old podcast will soon come to an end… stay tuned…

I don’t really care if Elizabeth Holmes felt sad when she saw Amanda Seyfried’s portrayal of her
I think Nathan Fielder did a really good job with You Can See Everything. Especially in showing how unwilling Amanda Seyfried was to acknowledge her own role in potentially harming another person. He had everyone looking at one another and questioning everyone else’s intentions, while seemingly being completely unwilling to examine their own behavior. I thought Amanda’s resistance to doing that was especially revealing
I also obviously think Billy is terrible. I think he’s cruel and exploitative. I’ve seen Elizabeth’s tweets for years and thought they were her. Finding out they’re his was jarring and sad.
But as much as I dislike Billy, I think he made a very good point. Why would he care what Amanda thinks? She’s an actress who has profited from portraying his wife as a bizarre and dishonest and manipulative freak to an audience that is largely voyeuristic, incredibly binary in their moral thinking, and seemingly unable to separate fiction from reality
I don’t think that Amanda needed to defend Elizabeth or excuse anything she’s done but I do think it’s bizarre how unwilling she seemed to consider that she might have contributed to another person’s suffering
