1/6 Look at Scotland. When the SRU axed the Border Reivers in 2007, they promised efficiency. Instead, they ripped the beating heart out of a historic rugby heartland. Community clubs folded, player numbers plummeted, and a generation of local talent was lost.

in decades covering sports for @TimesSport and The Sunday Times Iāve come across come shocking governing bodies. But nothing remotely, not even distantly as abysmal as the Welsh Rugby Union. They are trying to save their skins but understand nothing about Welsh rugby
Being up in North Wales, I might not make many games at home but
proud to play a part for @ospreys regardless. Looking forward to getting down for a game soon!

As a result, the original sanction remains in force. Southamptonās expulsion from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs stands, alongside the four-point deduction to be applied to the Clubās 2026/27 Championship record and the reprimand in respect of all charges. In accordance with EFL Regulations, the decision of the League Arbitration Panel is final.
Following the conclusion of the proceedings, the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final between Hull City and Middlesbrough is confirmed as taking place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 23 May, kicking off at 3.30pm.
