This is a general remark to Halo Fanon, but also the Halo community in general. If anyone has cool post-Halo Infinite ideas fanfic writers can go and chomp on for ideas as we enter a hibernation period, let me know! A lot of cool art and lore left on the cutting room floor!

I know this might get me in a lot of hot water but;
Wanting to "It was all a dream" Halo 4-Infinite is incredibly lazy and not even remotely good writing, and is infinitely worse writing than what people accuse Halo 5 of.

We have two existing examples of the Halo universe being rebooted. One was a full reboot and the other was a soft reboot.
Guess which example worked and which example Activision is reportedly following...
"From what I understand, the halo franchise has been rebooted" - Tom Henderson, Mike Straw- "complete reboot" youtube.com/live/YirGnAwW5hU…

It’d be great if Republicans weren’t secretly gay and openly jewish, and democrats weren’t openly gay and secretly jewish.
It’s insane to think that I managed to get to do the cover of one of the final books of this halo era

Here's my free advice to Activision on how to proceed with Halo:
Step 1: Contact and request an audience with the following original Halo/Bungie devs: Jaime Griesemer, Chris Barrett, Marty O'Donnell, and Marcus Lehto.
The goal of the conversations should be to answer the following questions: "How and why did the 343 Halo games not live up to the Bungie Halo games? How can future Halo games do better in this regard?"
Have those discussions. See if you can find a common understanding. Beyond that, the franchise is Activision's to find success or failure. But perform this necessary due diligence immediately.
Let me use a hypothetical to help make the point:
Let's say that I was given the game director role on the next Half-Life game. And then I was asked, "Hey, would you like to meet and chat with some of the original devs from Half-Life1/2? They would be happy to share their knowledge." My answer would be "Yes, of course. Only a fucking idiot would choose NOT to talk w the original devs."
It would seem that 343/Halo Studios didn't see this as an important part of the process.. and we all know how that ended.
I hope Activision doesn't make the same mistake.

Continuity of these Universe-expanding narratives is extremely important to the past, current and future directions of the Halo Franchise.

Spoiler: they're going to reboot it. No, I'm not reporting anything because I don't know anything (I'm not even sure Activision has made any decisions yet either), but there's just no way Activision is going to just pick up where 343 left off. They're going to start fresh.
Halo fans are divided on whether or not Activision should completely reboot the franchise or keep Master Chief's story going. bit.ly/46BVEXJ

I guess I should say as it may help a small tad. If you want more Halo EU media in the future go get Halo: The Master Chief Omnibus, Halo: Parasite's Wake, and if it gets through the finish line Halo: Fireteam Noble. It may show that the novels and universe are still worth it!
