🚨 Announcement: I am looking for 100 channels to implement my 2027 YouTube playbook with! Today, we officially open up applications for my next Accelerator cohort. The program behind some of the fastest growing youtube channels in the world. In October we will take 50-100 creators and give them: - 8 weeks of intense training (all live with me) - 30+ hours of material - Our full playbook to dominate any niche - Our ideation system for million view videos - Personalized strategy support to build their plan - Personalized feedback and execution help We’ve grown channels from 1k views a video to 500k+ $100/month to $10,000/month (in months) Had multiple creators post 5m+ videos DURING the cohorts. Even some 10m+. Look at the endless testimonials on the site (from real channels you can look up haha) Applications open today (link below). Apply and if we think we can grow your channel, I’ll reach out personally. Only about 10% of applications get into the program. We prioritize student results over everything. It's not affordable for everyone, so I’ll also be giving away a free scholarship (funded by me)! Just RT and like this post and I’ll pick a winner on Monday. Can’t wait to see the next group of creators go through our program and dominate 2027. ❤️

Sierra went through October's Cohort last year. Had 38k subs, inconsistent viewership. Now, last video has 3.3 million views, she's averaging close to 1m/video. Engaged views. Just broke 100k (22k subs this month alone) Our program's case studies are on your home page!

I endorse practically nothing, but taking Paddy’s cohort over summer 2023 changed my life! My channel, Coffee & Cults, was tiny, 15k ish subs, average of 20-40k views & two outliers at 2-400k. I took a huge risk by taking pretty much everything I’d saved from YTube & my job…

🚨 Huge update: YouTube just announced video AB testing, thumbnail generation & more. I’m here in the YouTube offices in New York… and they’ve just made their biggest update in years. Here’s the 3 changes I am most excited about + my take as a strategist running some of the biggest channels on youtube: 1. Video AB testing YouTube is going to allow you to upload three different versions of a video now (starting with shorts and then rolling out to more) and test them over a period to see which gets the best watch time. My take: I am so excited by this and it feels like something we’ve all wanted for years. How often are you stuck between two different intros, or two different ways of ending a video? Now having the ability to get real data back is insane. I am going to heavily use this with intros. 2. Dynamic thumbnail testing for different audiences YouTube will now actually dynamically test different thumbnails with different audience segments. Allowing you to have different packaging for your returning viewers vs casual/new. My take: This is very interesting. Current AB testing for thumbnails essentially helps you find the best thumbnail for the biggest majority of your viewers… but that isn’t the best thumbnail for every segment. A core viewer might click on something very different to a brand new viewer. I think this will allow creators to print more views and test new styles that previously might have never won in the test. 3. Thumbnail generation in YouTube studio Directly in your studio you will have an ‘ask studio packaging assistant’ that can analyze your video and past performance and generate thumbnails (and titles) for your video. My take: This one’s been coming. The interesting thing for me is that when presenting this, youtube said something very interesting: they will match your style. This is the hardest step when using most Ai thumbnail generators, so if they can pull this off… could change the game. Really excited to see how these new features work. Youtube shared that they will be tested and rolled out in the coming months.

Video testing = much more about tweaks, and slightly different edits than the entire video being swapped out. We’re definitely going to be testing a lot of different intro styles with clients in the coming months. Follow @PaddyG96 to see the results and data, will share it.

Re: The new YouTube view count update. I studied the data across a dozen different channels. Seeing as high as 100% plus increases, average is lower. Here's a crazy example from a 1m+ channel. This video would have previously been measured as 986k views instead of 2.2 million.

Maybe a hot take right now, but I think its a net positive long term. We still have the engaged view metric to see the ''real'' views. Other platforms inflate views, in some cases practically making up what a view even is. Just makes YT more competitive for advertisers.

I will say my initial response was negative... The way it was communicated and rolled out could have been smoother... and it's so annoying for analysis and comparison in short term. Ultimately though, number higher, better reflection of how views are counted online.

this podcast one of the best pieces of content I've seen in a while basically teaches you how to sell via youtube 10 things I learned 1. views and sales are two different machines. dude has 100m subs and can't sell a $40 product. pick which machine you're building. 2. 50k views to your list beats 1m views to strangers. every time. stop screenshotting view counts 3. nobody buys from a faceless channel. this guy dropped out of school at 15 to go all in and never told his audience once. that's the asset 4. one in four videos should have zero strategy behind it. those are the ones that make people trust you enough to buy 5. build a show. not a pile of videos. named, repeatable, something people can refer a friend to 6. pick a format that survives 200 episodes. "dog meets new puppy" runs out. "dog meets scared rescue dog" doesn't 7. your moat is access. your customers, your numbers, your rooms. ai can write the video. it can't get in the building 8. selling in the US? view counts are noise. dubbing quadruples them with people who will never open their wallet 9. long form is permission to actually pitch. 20-40 minutes is standard now. use the room 10. "5 productivity tips" is chatgpt's job. "here's the entire playbook and what it cost me" is yours

The wildest data I shared on the podcast was the device type shift. Everyone knows this is happening, but seeing it visualized is pretty crazy. Like just 5 years ago... people consumed content on youtube completely differently.

This graph is literally the most important thing to understand YouTube strategy: The algorithm is a multiplier. A 25% better idea, title, thumbnail, video can get 25x more views. Read the article for the full write up.
