This is a big deal. Sunapee Scramble will host the qualifiers for the 2023 US Mountain & Vertical Mountain Running teams headed to the WMTRC in Innsbruck. These will be some of the most competitive mountain races on US soil this year. Start lists are 🔥. Kudos to @PatrickCCaron.
The men’s field for BC had less high end talent than WS but had deeper competition and the women’s field for BC was both less competitive and less deep than WS. Most of that is because the field size is 3X and it is much easier to enter for non professionals but fast amateurs.
The goal is to have some runner cams and then several stationary cams along the way and commentary from the lodge! Biking on that course would be wild haha!
@aidstationfireb Canyon Woodward is supported by @CraftsburyGreen (cool concept worth checking out!), Ryan Atkins is with Craft, and not sure Bryan Kerl accepted the Salomon deal (he wore Saucony)!

Photos are up from yesterday’s GAC Fat Ass 50K. This link includes links to my full gallery and a much bigger - and better - gallery courtesy of @PatrickCCaron! It was a great start to the 2023 local ultra season. Check it out! massultra.com/2023/01/08/pho…
Oh boy! Good stuff! Thanks for all your contributions to making the sport dynamic and exciting to engage in!
Very cool! Love the new innovations! One idea is to have cumulative points of the entire season for Fantasy participants to reward hardcore fans/users and to see who consistently has top picks! Fun way to create some friendly competition throughout the year!
