By the way, just my opinion, but I think that Brian Anderson is the most underrated play by play broadcaster on national sports television.

If we had a nickel for every multi-homer game that Francisco Lindor hit in the Subway Series on September 12th, we’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s awesome it happened twice.
Good. If you do consider an Abrams trade (which they really shouldn’t anyway) you do it in the offseason. Doing it mid-season sends a bad message to the clubhouse.
I mean if you’re thinking about trading these guys then you’ll never going to win. What are you possibly looking for in return that will better help you win young controllable valuable players, the exact type of players you dream on actually developing.
Marlins "willing to listen" to offers for Otto Lopez, Xavier Edwards, Heriberto Hernández, and Liam Hicks, per @TheAthletic.
Texas fills some holes but neither are true needle movers I don’t think. Still good to see the Rangers trying to improve.
Also completely disproves the idea that RH bats can fetch a premium.
I remember feeling a similar way about the Grayson Rodriguez trade.
Nothing against Curtis Mead, he’s had a great year and has made tons of improvements. But when you trade a young controllable starter like that you expect the return to be better.
The Red Sox better be right.

I get you have to do due diligence, but trading James Wood makes absolutely no sense
The Nationals let everyone know that James Wood and CJ Abrams were available for trade during this past offseason, per @BNightengale.
(1) No one could have ever predicted it to be this bad. Unlike some people, I own the fact that I too very much believed in this team coming into the year. I supported most of the offseason moves. I saw the vision the Mets thought they saw.
(4) Where the Mets really went wrong is how they handled the start of the season. I knew early on in April this team had problems and a change was needed. They HAD to fire Carlos Mendoza after getting swept by the Rockies, and they didn’t.
