For sure, been teaching my students for years that hospitality provides example, accountability and promotes the great blessing of mutual ministry in the body.
Chad Van Dixhoorn on how hospitality can act as a bulwark against ministerial failure. For so many pastors that fall, it comes out afterwards that no one really knew them — how they were in their private life and with their families. Pastors: open your homes. Congregants: encourage your pastors to show more hospitality.

Just because you say "That's good Bible preaching" doesn't mean it's good preaching of or even remotely from the Bible...
"If you put cream and sugar in your coffee you ought to turn in your man card. That's good bible preaching right there." IFB evangelist John Hamblin preaches against effeminate coffee.

Christian, do you primarily think "what can I get from the church that will help me?" Or do you believe "what has God put me into the church to be a help for?" Members of the body are gifted and given both to receive and to give (Eph 4:16).

"Soul Care" has returned from history as perhaps the most popular term in biblical counseling. I hear it a lot. It sounds spiritual, but I'm not sure it is sufficient for all the Bible addresses.

70 years ago today these men departed the land of the dying for the land of the living. They gave what they could not keep to gain what they could not lose.

There is a close tie to our "response" and our "responsibility." The more responsible we are for a job/place/person, the less blatantly critical our responses are.

Those who seem most critical, esp online, are those who take the least responsibility for investment and involvement.
