Decided I will not be pushing my game's demo onto Steam due to Valve's poor handling of their platform right now. Actual developers are being hurt by the slop mountain taking priority of real games. Valve is not stupid, they should know this is an issue, but money matters more🤷

It was marketed as: - 2 years until permanent underclass - you’ll all lose your jobs - your skills will be worthless - we’re going to replace you - your entire career is now a $20/month subscription All in an already terrible job market btw. Possibly the most important technology humanity has ever built, with some of the worst marketing imaginable. The labs completely failed communicating the tech, miserably bad and only improved just end of last year. How did anyone expect that to make people excited?

I’ve noticed there’s a weird pattern of extremes when it comes to internet horror characters who are just smiley faces. They’re either so non-scary it becomes an internet in-joke, or are somehow associated with the real life fatal heart attacks of two people.
