Had a thought about this recently.
The natural human mind has a way of triggering flight mode, especially when you’re ambitious and operating in a competitive industry.
It screams, “You’re missing out!” even when you’re simply on your path, doing what’s required of you at that moment to eventually hit that home run.
To be honest, if only you knew how close you were or how much easier things would eventually get, you wouldn’t beat yourself up over past missed opportunities. You wouldn’t put yourself through unnecessary stress, nor would you allow anyone to treat you as less simply because of your current situation.
Think about it. For every win or height of success you’ve achieved, there’s always that one moment when you look back and ask, “Is this why I did this and that?”
That’s because deep down, you know you were always going to attain that level, hence you're familiar with that reality in your mind, before it manifests in your life.
But the pressure from the signals, pushed you into making some irrational decisions.
Truly, time changes things.
But believing in yourself and holding your productive life up to that standard will eventually put things in place for you.
Work hard, but in a precise direction.
That understanding of where you are and what you’re building towards before making any decision is what gives you the speed required per time.
When I got laid off from Microsoft, I got into a company in Lagos that felt paying 600k naira a month was doing me a favour. I had to take the offer to keep body and soul together.
Was there for 6 months until I fell out with the MD and started looking out. That was when I started my training outfit but couldn't quite get traction.
Anyway, after leaving this NGO, I spent another 5 months in the wilderness, literally. Ate rejections almost every other day. Was living on the goodwill of friends and relations. Basically wondering what to get out of life.
An Antler rep came knocking at the time and was in the process of fast tracking my application to the Antler cohort at Kenya. Guess what? My passport had expired. Ran to go fast track my passport, after a few days emailed the partner but was told it was too late.
I remember laying in my room laughing hysterically, mulling to myself, "who I offend?"
Thankfully at that time, I applied to Andela and the process started for another 2 months. I got into Andela and my monthly salary was my previous annual salary. This trend continued in a subsequent company. Use am run one or two that year.
But the point is, while I was enjoying this new reality, I asked myself, "why did you worry all those times?" In hindsight, there was no reason to. I should have just chilled for 5 months, enjoyed myself.
But we are human and can only understand life in hindsight. As long as you believe this it will work out for you: EVERYTHING will turn out better than you expected, just stop worrying.

It's a really good point.
I see lots of people on social media full-porting" their evaluations to pass them as quickly as possible.
And I guess that's one way of doing it, but full-porting on a funded account is the sort of thing that works... until it doesn't!
Personally, I'm not in the camp of wanting to quickly blow through multiple evaluations until I eventually pass one.
I'd much rather start as I mean to go on, applying proper risk management during the evaluation stage, just as I would on a funded account.
But I appreciate that we all have different approaches to prop firm trading, and ultimately, you have to find what works for you.
For me, the most important thing isn't how quickly I can pass an evaluation. It's how long I can survive and consistently perform once I'm funded.
Because getting funded is one thing. Staying funded is quite another!

As for @BlueGuardiancom , I received my payout in less than 24 hours!
Even though I received an email requesting a live KYC interview right after submitting my payout request, the whole process was really simple.
I know a lot of traders in our Moroccan community are scared of these interviews, but trust me, there's nothing to worry about. They basically just want to verify that you're the person actually trading the account.
Blue Guardian will always have a special place for me because they were the firm that gave me my very first payout back in 2023, when I was just starting my trading journey.
And honestly, I'm really happy to be trading with them again and to see that their rules are still as good as I remember.

I waited over a week to request a payout because the payout button suddenly disappeared from the dashboard. It came back last Friday, I submitted my request, and I still haven't been paid.
Now they're holding it up with an "interview."
This is not how you run a business. Traders deserve to get paid without jumping through hoops.
