On a Friday afternoon 5 years ago (February 14), I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer, the same cancer Nikola Topić was diagnosed with. Last night, Nikola Topić made his debut for the OKC Thunder after beating cancer. His body, hair, and aspects of his mental has not yet recovered. However, in the long run, this fight will make him mentally & physically stronger than he could ever imagine. OKC fans, please be patient with him. It will take him at least 2 years to be 100%. I am so happy for him & will be rooting for him. P.S: If you're a young experiencing any odd symptoms, please see your doctor ASAP.

My only symptom was sudden onset of excruciating pain that felt like I was having appendicitis. Blood test for specific tumor makers BhCG and Alpha feto protein confirmed diagnosis. That was 39 years ago. Early detection and surveillance program meant surgery only, no chemo.

I 100% agree with, "If you're young experiencing any odd symptoms, please see your doctor ASAP." I would also like to add to get yourself checked out regularly if possible, because when there are symptoms, it's sometimes too late. Glad you beat it and hope it stays away😤

I was so surprised when they said he was gonna come back so soon. He was looking amazing in G-league so i thought he would get more time to recover, but his talent is undeniable and he is gonna be a weapon for OKC.

Same here. The symptoms that may seem completely unrelated could get you an earlier diagnosis if brought to the attention of a doctor. The difference between stage 2 and stage 3 could be weeks or months of Chemo. I caught mine at stage 3, also.

What symptoms would you say a person should get checked out?

NFL should take notes. Only talk about uplifting stories during the draft. Instead, they talk about how someone in the players family died and it was devastating. No shit it was devastating but they do it literally every pick....
